Wrap Up
The TOUR'S 'Best 3 of 4' format usually leads to some tight scoring and this week proved it again.  Many bowlers had chances to top the leader, but just falling short by one game or even down to one frame.  High score of the day was a 2nd Squad 848 series, with the 2nd thru 5th place finishers each having two games totaling over 500, leaving them a shot at #1, but they each fell short looking for that third BIG game.  Every 9-TAP MEMBER would love the chance to throw one ball for $500.00.  Saturday we had two of them. Chuck Hufford had that chance, as he was trying to finish his game with the final 7 Taps, but tugged it a little for a split on #7.  Adam Hamlet also had his chance for the Middle 7 Taps in his final game.  He pulled it left for an 8 count, to spoil the run (he did get another Tap on his next ball of course).  During the day we racked up 5 players all tied with 3 TAPS, each would have received the full $50.00 each.  But alas this was all spoiled by Anne Johnston (from Spokane), shooting the Front 4 in her last game of the day.  Her 5th frame ball came up high leaving her with a split to end her run.  She collected a nice $100.00 for her 4 Taps.  The 9-TAP JACKPOT remains over $6,000.00 again and all ties will continue to be Paid-in-Full.

Our Kenmore Champion and FOUR time Winner is Jesse Sherman.  On his 2nd squad re-entry he fired off a very nice 848 series, improving by a HUGE 164 pins over what was a good initial entry.  Using his STORM Hyroad Pearl, he rolled games of 211, 280 and finished with the ONLY 300 game shot on the day.  It looks like when he gets lined up, he is very tough to beat. This his third win in the last two months, with the other wins at Hiline Lanes and Daffodil Bowl,(which was another best 3 out of 4).  Jesse says he likes working his farm and taking day hikes.  Plans on paying bills with his winnings. His awesome effort earned him a nice payday of $1,553.00, which pushes him close to reaching the $10,000.00 CLUB, with his earnings now at $9,777.00.

Our second place finisher was like seeing deja vu from 2 weeks ago.  Shane Thompson, was in the same position as Eddie Burdsall,  when both needed ONE more 10th frame strike to take over the lead.  Both got bit with a big split on the shot, a tough way to end the run!  With big games of 280 and 291 w/handicap, he was within striking distance of the top spot and his second title. His second place finish got him a nice check of $701.00.

Third place went Jarad Burdine.  Also trying for his second title, had shot some nice games starting and ending with 284 and 294 w/handicap, but his middle games let him down.  Jarad's very nice effort, was rewarded with a healthy check of $361.00.  He performed well with relatives from South Carolina there to root him on.
