Our Champion this week has only been with the Tour since July.  Matthew McLaughlin shot his personal best series last week in his 11th Tour entry, but he just missed the Cash List.  This week, he improved that P.B. by a whopping 97 pins, which was just enough to propel him to the TOP of the Cash List, giving him just his second career cash.  Matthew travels all the way from Everett to bowl on the Tour and he certainly made his 12th try count.  Using his Motive Pride and Purple Tank, drilled by Derek Handy at Bowlero-Lynnwood, he was consistent all day, avoiding any big mistakes.  Shooting a very nice 1017 series and collecting a HUGE check of $2,275.00, he plans on using this money to bowl in the Masters Tournament.  He would like to dedicate his win to his step-dad who retired from the Navy after 22 years of service, along with all his lane teammates Saturday.

 

Finishing in 2nd Place and trying for his second Tour win is Brian Peters.  Re-Entering in the final squad Brian came out blazing, firing a nice 1011 series coming just 6 pins shy of 1st Place.  You know it's a BIG Tournament when 2nd pays over $1,000.00.  Brian takes home a big check of $1,020.00, pushing his career earnings to $14,354.00.  With his dad, Art,  moving back in the area,  Brian was very proud to show Dad just how it's done.  

Leading after the second squad with a strong 998 series and trying for his FIFTH Tour Title, 3rd Place went to Magic Bristol.  Magic was struggling the last few weeks and might have Won if not for a 209 game slowing down the effort.  He recovered well, finishing with a big game to give him a shot at the Win.  A nice way to break out of a mini slump, by taking home a check for $544.00.
