We saw some great bowling Saturday with scoring a bit up for our 'Best 3 of 4' format at Kent Bowl.  Bouncing back from last week's low turnout, The Tour had 114 entries, a Cut-Line of 747 with 23 bowlers cashing.  FOUR bowlers managed to break 800, but there were another ten or so who were a mark or two from also doing so! 

Andy Snow made another appearance on the 9-Tap Jackpot consolation list, joining Tim Fierro as both made $50.00 for hitting the front four. The story here was Ashley Kochel as she had a shot at $500.00 for the 'Middle 7' 9 taps.  Check out her 7th shot by clicking on the photo on the left below.  Thanks to Heather Schaaf for getting the video for us!

James Black finished in 4th Place after shooting an awesome 809, just two pins behind 3rd Place Huyen Thaiwho had one of his best days in awhile.  Huyen earned $374.00 plus another $113.00 from the Scratch Pot and is now just $505.00 shy of joining the $30k Club for Career Earnings.  Jon Schneider gained his highest finish since last February as his 816 series earned him 2nd Place and $626.00. Jon was in the Pro Pot for just $10, which is why the Pot jumped nearly $500.00 for next week. 

The Big Winner this week is Edd Smith!  Edd's win makeshim our 19th 1st-Time Winner of 2018.  Edd started his day by shooting the first 300 no-tap game of his Tour Career and he coasted from there, adding 271 & 241 games to shoot an amazing 860 for the day!  Edd said he was elated that this was a 'Best 3 of 4' because the move after two games really threw him for a loop as his 3rd game was just 136!  He later said "Best 3 out of 4 was key as when we switched lanes, I really struggled but kept looking for the line and managed to find it again."  Edd said that his wife, Diane was on hand to root him on and he plans on using some of his $1,629.00 1st Place check on a new ball and future tournaments.  Norm from Kent bowl drilled his Columbia 300 'Pulse' ball and he was wearing his Dexter SST8 shoes.  Kent Bowl is Edd's home house as his previous best finish was 2nd Place, also at Kent!  Congratulations, Edd!
