Schofield - Team Event

Aug. 18th, 2018

Total Paid Out: $8,748.00

Wrap Up

The 9 Tap Tour Team Event has been nothing short of a "Huge Success".  Last year's Team Event II "had surpassed our inaugural Event  by a LANDSLIDE".  This year, Team Event III went further by; paying 1 in 4; had 22 Teams participating (88 bowlers) with Team Names; paid 5 places with a total payout of $8,748.00.  The payouts went like this; 1st place received $3,000.00; 2nd place $1,500.00; 3rd place $900.00; 4th place $400 and 5th place $260.     Auto Genius along with Schofield Bowl Pro Shop were the event sponsors as it kicked off at 1100 o'clock with one (1) squad only at Schofield Bowling Center.  Our format for the event was adjusted from Team Event II because of the time constraints the tour is faced with at Schofield Bowl, however all of the teams and members had a "Great Time".  It was a good break from our normal "Beat the Board and Best 3 of 4" formats and still allowed our members to win some "Huge Bucks" while having Fun!

And Our Winners were. . . .

The format starting with:

Round #1:  four game team total plus handicap, the top eight (8) Teams moving on to match play;  Bull Manure; Team ASAR; Team #21; HBS Stars; 4 the Hard Way; Ball Busterz; Defending Champions Vegas Crew; and Attention to Detail.

Round #2:  bracket match play "Baker Style" with the four winners moving on; Bull Manure vs HBS Stars; Team ASAR vs Ball Busterz; Team #21 vs 4 the Hard Way; Vegas Crew vs Attention to Detail.  Bull Manure/HBS Stars, Kato (Mike) vs Kato (Christine), what a match as the Stars clip the Bull by 8 pins. Ball Busterz/Team ASAR, Team (Ash, Stephens, Ash, Reynolds) puts up a good 1st game match but went "FLAT" in game 2 match and loses; Ball Busterz move on.  Vegas Crew/Attention to Detail, Defending Champions bowls steady enough to advance to round #3 by 16 pins.  Whew!!  Team 21/4 the Hard Way, another great match as David Hancock punches out in the 10th frame and Team #21 edges Hard Way by 8pins.

Round #3:  Ball Busterz/Team #21 & HBS Stars/Vegas Crew, in both these matches Team #21 and HBS Stars just blew their tires and gets knocked out.

Round #4:  Championship match:  Ball Busterz vs Defending Champions Vegas Crew, the Busterz's started game 1 match play in a blow out, then put it on cruise control to deny the Defending Champions Vegas Crew from repeating as Champions.  Congratulations!  To our New Champions, Ball Busterzs(Aiko Pall, John Pall, Catherine Cruce, Daniel Asato).

Progressive and 9 Tap Jackpot

Our Progressive Pot stands at $1,430.00 and the 9 Tap Jackpot at $5,090.00for our  next tournament at Ft. Shafter Lanes.
