Wrap Up

Co-Stars at K-Bay

Yes, the past weekend we crowned “Co-Stars ”, Brandon Benicta and Richard Nagamatsu.  Brandon Benicta became a three time Champion, winning back to back tournaments and Richard Nagamatsu bowling his way into the "winners circle".  It was a record breaking K-Bay Tournament.  There were 84 entries; recorded 17 places; paid out $6,067.00; handicaps went from a -6 to 70; low to cash was 709; and our Co-Champions received $1,133.00 apiece.

Our New Members got into the mix with everyone else.  James Saballa led the 1st squad with a 763 score and Daniel Asato and Keith Teramae both cashed.  Brandon Benicta took over the 2nd squad lead at 793 and held on as "Co-Conspirator".  He reentered to try and slam the door shut on his tourney members.  Richard Nagamatsu showed up without his colleague and BFF, Scott Amuro, checked in and the rest is history.  Although, Richard did make it interesting and exciting at the same time, when he could have won the "Whole Shebang".  Needing a scratch game of 221 to win by one, threw the first strike in the tenth frame; a spare or strike on the eleventh frame would have crowned him "Virtual Winner" but brother wanted no part of it and throws a split on the eleventh frame.  He could have been angry at himself and gone up to the lane and just thrown it away.  However, Richard always felt that every pin counts and so picked up a single pin for a score of 793 to tie Brandon for the lead.

Brandon wins his third title and another "Giant Payday of $1,133.00" plus the high series and 2nd place high game, brackets and side pots.  Nice!  Brandon thanks the 9 Tap Tour and Wayne for drilling his ball, a Hammer Legend.  Brandon earns his White shirt for his 3rd title.  Congratulations, Brandon!!!

Richard earns his first title, a Blue Champion shirt and a "Giant Payday" of$1,133.00.  He thanks Daniel Maglangit of Strike'em Pro Shop for drilling his bowling ball, a Storm Intense.  Richard thanks the 9 Tap Family for putting on these fun tournaments.   Congratulations, Richard!!!

Progressive and 9 Tap Jackpots

The Progre$$ive Pot will be a nice $1,265.00 and the 9 Tap Jackpot is up to $3,561.00.  Al Melchor and Adrian Kelley were the no tap winners for this week putting together 4 no taps in a row for a share of $76.00 bonus dollars.

Just a reminder, members are requested to abide by the dress code.  Please get your shirts with the “9 Tap” logo and  name embroidered.  Take an old shirt to Tour Sponsor Verna Rapez of “The Embroidery Gift Shop”, located at Stadium Mall and have her embroider your shirt.
