Total Paid Out: $7,626.00

Wrap Up

Storm 3rd Quarter Tournament

What a “Huge Weekend” we had at Schofield for our Storm 3rd Quarter Tournament. The 9 Tap Tour has been steadily growing and this past weekend highlighted our Event.  We had 15 new memberships, exceeded by our inaugural tournament and at Leeward bowl.  We had 105 entries; paid out $7,626.00; the cash list was spread out nicely with all handicaps well represented; paid 21 places witha cash list of 24 members due to ties; and crowned another first time winner.  The only other tour stop that had more entries was at Leeward Bowl (119 entries).  There was some added “Fun” this past tourney, as Tournament Sponsor, Exxxtreme 300 gave out gifts and prizes to the tournament and its members.

The women members had a great representation as they took 3 of the top four places.  Our New Champion is our Barzilian Woman, Claudia Ferrari.  Bowling in the second squad, she bowled a mediocre set and was disappointed, so she decided to bowl the third squad and that proved to be her wisest choice.  Claudia shoots a 1036 to nose out Daniel Toyooka-Lim.  A disappointed but happy Daniel shot 1020 for 2nd Place and $766.00 for his efforts.  Meagan Gonzalez shot an even 1000 and took home $383.00 for third place.

Our Newest Champion is not only a champion bowler, she is also a Champion Boogie and Bodysurfing Champion.  In 1995 she was crowned the World Body Boarding Champion and then back in 2008, crowned the Pipeline Champion.  Wow!!  You couldn't tell by just looking at her.  She looks like one of us but slightly "prettier".  She also owns an online business called "Aloha Gifts from Hawaii".  Checkout the web site:  www.alohagiftsfromhawaii.com

. Congratulations Claudia!  Claudia used the Storm Matchup, drilled by Virgil Dela Cruz of Exxxtreme 300.

Progressive and 9 Tap Jackpot . . .

The 9 Tap Jackpot stands at $1,921.00 and the Progressive Pot increased to $1,931.00 because Champion Claudia entered into the $10 Progressive Pot, so part of the 1st place progressive pot monies goes back into the Pot.  Not surprising, as the only bowler to make a run at our 9 Tap Jackpot was Claudia Ferrari withthe front 5-Taps and took home an extra $100.00.

The Year End Championship (YEC) is quickly approaching and with only 6 more tournaments to go, if you want to get invited, members need 6 tournaments to qualify.  The YEC is slated for December 16, 2017 at Schofield Bowling Center. If you have any questions, please feel free to give me or Frances a call at 808 779-6566.
