Schofield Bowling  Center . . . 

Our 9 Tap Tour tournament made a valiant return to Schofield Bowling Center, March 11, 2017,for another “Beat the Board” format and like always, the format provided our members with great excitement and close scoring.  

Lopaka Chun did not need to strikeout in the 10th frame or put his shoes back on.  Lopaka did not set the bar very high nor did he shoot lights out.  What Lopaka did was put up a score that was beatable if you were consistent enough,  Harry Catekista had a rollercoaster ride; Allen Serapion got out of the gates quick but couldn't continue his pace; Naomi Rose had her personal best scratch score (234 + 59= 293) but the last game "jitters"?? and finished just below the cut line; Mike Naehu started the 3rd squad low (167) but finished with a flurry (288) to finish at 3rd place; Kaili Lee started like gangbusters lighting up the score board with a fine (264 + 47=311) and needed a scratch score of 206 + handicap (47) to beat Lopaka by 1 pin.  But "neva happen" and Kaili finished in 2nd place.  

Congratulations Lopaka!  Wait, Lopaka told me he "likes to work in his yard, Brah! your yard get Ti leaf plant, Eh!"  Lopaka used "Ti Leaf" and a Storm Timeless bowling ball, drilled by Exxxtreme 300 Virgil Dela Cruz to win his 3rd Title and a White Shirt.  He thanks his Exxxtreme Pro Shop bowling "Gang" (Lisa Keliikoa & Kawika Johnson), his wife Liz, Fran, Kawika and the 9 Tap Tour Staff for putting on these terrific tournaments.   

Progressive and 9 Tap Jackpots . . . 

Our Progressive Pot went down a little and stands at $868.00 while the 9 Tap Jackpot increased to $5,182.00.  Still big pots to win a whole lot of CA$$$H!!!  There was a tie for the bonus bucks between Kaili Lee and Ron Loo, finishing with 3 no taps and a share of $50.
