Schofield - April 22nd, 2017

Total Paid Out: $6,796.00

Wrap Up

Schofield Bowling Center

Schofield usually brings a lot of close scoring and for this past tournament, there was nothing close about it.  Back in January, Chloe Pojas outlasted Bernardo Domingo by 15 pins; February saw Rolena Furtak beat out Ricky Laguana by 22 pins; then in March, Lopaka Chun held on to  trip up Kaili Lee by just 20 pins.  This past weekend's tournament, Rodney Fujii set the pace in the first squad leading by 1 pin over Adrian Kelley.  But things were about to change drastically as Keanu Deboma, bowling two-handed, revved it up and had  pins flying all over the lanes.  The Schofield tournament drew 97 entries; the cash list ranged from -3 to 52; low to cash was 924; our tournament paid out $6,796.00; and a 1st place payout of $1,652.00, "an awesome tournament"

Play by Play

The 1st squad started things off with Rodney Fujii posting a one pin lead over Adrian Kelley, 957 to 956.  That was short lived as the 2nd squad saw the lead change hands by Keanu Deboma, as he posted a score to beat of 1096.  The 3rd squad produced scores of 992 from Rocky Otsuka and 987 from Ken Reynolds, both scores good for 2nd and 3rd places respectively.  Keanu's 1st place finish was worth $1,652.00.

Keanu used a Storm Timeless, drilled by Virgil Dela Cruz of Exxxtreme 300 Pro Shop for his 2nd Title.  He thanks the 9 Tap Tour for putting together another “Great Tournament” and "for giving people around the Island an opportunity to bowl and showcase their talents." Congratulations Keanu!

Progre$$ive & 9 Tap Jackpot:

Sharing this weekends' 9 Tap Jackpot was Rodney Fujii and Mike Asuncion both with 4 no taps. Rodney and Mike shared the bonus bucks of $100.  Nice going!!

Our Progressive and 9 Tap Jackpots are at a very sizeable payout for the next winner, as the Tour heads to Hickam Bowling Center for a members' favorite, Best 3 out of 4.  The Progressive Pot will see an increase because our 2nd place winner paid $10 in the pot.  The Pot now stands at $1,672.00 and our 9 Tap Jackpot is at $5,689.00.  See all of you at Hickam!!
