In the“Limelight”at Hickam's 9 Tap Tournament after a 2 year hiatus was"Big Don Furuya"! Scores were bunched together and it was anybody's chance to take home the top prize. Marcus Jackson started the day off with a nice 1016 to lead the first squad followed by the "Duke"  at 960, a 56 pin cushion.  In the second squad, Poster Champion Mike Naehu took control with a great finish in the 10th frame of the 4th game for a 1024 score and an 8 pin lead.  In the last and final 3rd squad, Big Don's final scratch game of 253 (38 pins = 291) put him past Mike Asuncion 1025 and pressure on Solomon Chung.  Solomon needed two strikes in the 10th and final frame to beat Don.  He got the first but a high finish on the 11th frame gave Big Don his third title and a White Shirt.  Congratulations Don for winning your third title and $1,253.00, play money for Las Vegas.    "Wow, How   Awesome is that".  Don used a Hammer Widow Spare and Track Extreme Heat for his third win and thanks Daniel Maglangit of Strike'em Pro Shop for drilling his balls.  Also, to Mikey for the clean towel???, Duke for the refreshments, Thomas Ching for the coaching  and Tiny (Craig Apana), Darlee and Ricky for all the support.  Finally, to the 9 Tap Tour Staff for their hard work!  Mahalo and Congrats!
