Schofield Bowl - November 19th, 2016

Total Paid Out: $4,130.00

Wrap Up

Las Vegas not RENO!!

Reno???

The Multi-Regional Tournament is being held in Las Vegas but it was RENO that won the Tournament.  Yes, 9 Tap members, RENO Sullivan obliterated the field at Schofield Bowling Center.  In fact, he was the only one that shot over 1000 in this past Saturday's 9 Tap Tournament.  After the scores that were produced at our last tournament and the way this past tournament started, it was "Oh! Oh!".  As it turned out, single game scores were high but total scores were competitive.  We had 60 entries; paid out $4,130.00; low to cash was 920; cashers handicaps ranged from -4 to 55; and the Champion won $893.00 (Reno could only get in on the $10.00 Progressive Pot).  Actually, the Progressive Pot will increase to $1,351.00 because the three top finishers could only get into the pot for $10.00.

Reno took a lead that would stand the entire day.  In the first squad, Reno Sullivan got on the lanes sandwiched two huge games between two okay games and led the first squad with a High 1082 score.  Following Reno was James Bryant (922), Kevin Asato (912) and Mike Dudley (907).  The second squad proved no different as Brandon Panee led with a 969 score followed by Vergilio Repollo (959), Mike Naehu (942) and Patrick Thomas (932).  In the third squad, Mildred Velez made a valiant effort at the leader but fell short and posted a respectable 991 score.  She was followed closely by Brian Ash (976), Kaili Lee (969) and Brandon Panee (969).

Reno picks up his first title and earned a blue champion shirt.  He used a Storm Crux which was drilled by Panzer Kaserm in Roblinger, Germany.  He bowls in the Wednesday and Thursday night leagues at Schofield Bowling Center.  Congratulations Reno on your first 9 Tap Tour Championship and an automatic invitation to the Year End Championship (YEC).

Progre$$ive & 9 Tap Jackpot . . .

The Progre$$ive and 9 Tap Jackpots have increased and will have an impact on the "Winner of our Quarterly tournament".  Our Ft. Shafter Champion will likely win a "big sum of kala's".  The 9 Tap Jackpot is at $4,536.00 and Progressive Pot at $1,351.00.  Garek Pudder and Kaili Lee were the winners of 4 no taps sharing $100.00, $50.00 apiece.

The Bowler of the Year race is going down to the very last tournament, with just 3 points separating the top three members.  Member Randy Kaea-Cook leads Ace Estiamba by one pin and Mike Naehu by 3 pins, a real tight race.  The Champion will receive a green shirt and 900 Global bowling ball.

Don't forget to "MARK" your calendar for our First Annual Multi Regional Tournament being held on the "Ninth Hawaiian Island (LV)" January 27, 28 & 29, 2017 at the Gold Coast Hotel and Casino.  Bowl against our sister regions, win and have fun!

YEC Invitations will soon go out to all our "Active Present and Past Champions".  Please let me know if you can make it to this year's YEC, so that I may be able to extend the invitation to our non-champions that are on the BOY list.  Our annual tournament is a "Pre-Pay Event" so that we may be able to run this tournament much smoother.  The invitations will outline the Prize List and the total payout for the tournament.  Alongside the YEC will be the 900 Global & AMF Demo of bowling equipment.  It's "FREE" so check it out.  Come early because it starts at 10 am until 1:00 pm.  Hawaii Bowlers Tour Director Chad Pojas will also be there with the latest in technology training equipment that will help your game improve.  Chad is a Certified USBC Silver Instructor and can also help you improve your game.
