Schofield Bowl - October 1st, 2016

Total Paid Out: $5,142.00

Wrap Up

Schofield Yields

The tour stop at Schofield Bowling Center proved "AWESOME".  We had 72 entries, 14 places, paid out $5,142.00 and to 1st Place, $1,261.00.  The cash list  has indicated how the handicapping has leveled the playing field as the handicaps ranged from 0 to 50 and the scoring very close.  The winners/cashers handicaps have ranged from -10 to 68.  It is awesome because the 9 Tap Tour is designed to ensure fair play.  Our goal is to provide  enjoyable experience for all of our members, with a fair opportunity for low, medium and high average  bowlers and the 9 Tap Tour Hawaii Region has accomplished that.

The Schofield tournament did not lack excitement as our Champion, well liked on the 9 Tap Tour, battled with second squad leader Kevin Becera.  While both Bob and Kevin were battling each other, Solomon Chung jr. finished his round and turned in his recap sheet and got it scored with an apparent tough score to beat at 1060.  But wait a whole minute, Bob Kailewa and Kevin gets their recap sheet scored, inputted into the computer and “Wholly Molly", Bob scores a come from behind victory, finishing off the tenth frame in championship fashion with a score of 1062 and wins his 3rd title by a mere 2 pins.  Bob used a Storm Lock for his slim victory and thanks Virgil Dela Cruz of Exxxtreme 300 Pro Shop for drilling his bowling ball.  He also thanks and Ben Ballesteros, Ron Loo, Dwayne Corpuz, Cora Naki-Souza and Lani Ring for all the support.  Bob is spending his earnings with his friends at Dot's in Wahiawa.  He thanks the 9 Tap Tour Staff for running a Great Tournament.  Congratulations, Bob!

Progressive & 9 Tap Jackpot

Our Progre$$ive Pot is still high at $1,221.00.  The 9 Tap Jackpot will be big for the Ft. Shafter Tournament.  The 9 Tap Jackpot stands at $4,148.00, after Mario Talon took a nice chunk, $200 for stringing 5 No Taps.  Big Pots & Big Payouts await the Ft. Shafter winner(s).

Multi-Regional Tournament at Las Vegas

Plans are being made for the 1st Annual Multi-Regional Tournament in Las Vegas, pitting the Puget Sound, Las Vegas and Hawaii Regions.  Make your plans now for January 27, 28 & 29, 2017 at the Gold Coast Casino.  The 9 Tap Tour hopes to have our members support this endeavor so that our Tour could grow larger.  It will be a fun time filled with camaraderie, good cheers and lots of $$$ (money).

Other News

Hawaii Region thank all you members that participated in this past weekends' nominations for the start of the Liaison Committee.

Our Year End Championship is soon approaching and along side of our tournament will be a 900 Global & AMF Matchmaker.  Exciting news because you could actually get fitted with a 900 Global or AMF bowling ball and use it in the YEC Championship.  For You Past Champions that would like to participate in the YEC 2016, you need to be active.  In other words, you need to bowl in one (1) tournament within 6 months.  Again, all Active Past Champions will get an automatic invitation to the YEC 2016.  Invitations will go out right after the Ft. Shafter tournament.
