Hickam Bowl - July 11th, 2015

Total Paid Out: $9,857.00

Wrap Up

Audie on Auto Pilot!!!

After a successful inaugural Team Event at Schofield Bowling Center, the Tour moved over to Hickam Bowling Center for the 2nd Quarterly tournament, sponsored by 900 Global and AMF and what a record shattering event it turned out to be.  First, Team Saili was in the cash mode again,  Audie winning his second title (back to back) and Annie placing 5th.  The tournament drew 73 entries, 15 cashers and paid out a record $9,857.00.  The cash list was so close we had one 1,000 score and low to cash was at 922.  It was just another exciting  tournament.  Don Salamero started the day with a solid lead afterposting 976 score in the 1st squad.  With the lanes playing a little tough and not forgiving, scores were pretty low.  Of course, Audie and Annie showed up for the second squad and Audie went ballistics, posted the only thousand score of 1028 of the day and wrestled the lead away from Don.  In the third squad, many of our members made valiant attempts to unseat Audie but just could not put a credible finish.  Don Salamero's 170 in the third game of the 1st squad prevented him from posting a 1000 score (976 2nd place)Brant Perry's 184 in the last game of squad one prevented him from seizing the first squad lead (959 3rd place); a 192 in the third game of the 2nd squad prevented Randy Kaea-Cook from moving into the top 3 by a pin (958 4th place)Terrence Guzman was sailing along with handicap scores of 269, 249, 240 only to stumble posting a 199 that knocked him out of the top 3 by 2 pins(957 5th place);  and Annie's 174 on the last game prevented her from knocking off her hubby from the top spot (955 6th place).  This gave Audie his second title and $1,256.00.  He used a Storm Crux Pearl drilled by Jim Pirtle at Schofield Bowling Center Pro shop.  Audie plans to pay bills and have a nice dinner with his family.  He says, "a special Mahalo to Kawika and the 9 Tap crew for a great job hosting these tournament events".  Congratulations, Audie, on winning your Red Championship Shirt!

Progressive & 9 Tap Jackpot

Even though Audie had another great showing and back to back wins, he was outshined a little by Ben Ballesteros' 7 taps from the first frame for $4,938.00.    Although there have been many who came close to hitting the Jackpot with the first 6 taps, none have been able to complete the 7th.  Ben now has the distinction of being the FIRST member to break the 9 Tap Jackpot in Hawaii.

The Progressive Pot is $1,074.00 and 9 Tap Jackpot has shrunk to $1,473.00. Tell your friends and family about your tour, it will be “Fun and Exciting".  Be part of this Tour and have a chance to win $$$
