Wrap Up

H-3 Traffic Jam

Despite the traffic jam on the H-3 Freeway, which then made some of our bowlers use the Pali Highway, our 9 Tap Tour was very successful.  There was one lane open from Halawa to H-3 Tunnel, traffic was backed up for miles, its just the State messing around with us Locals.  But the“Horrendous traffic” didn't keep our tournament from running late, as a matter of fact we were on time for all the squads.

Predicted Another First time Winner

This past week was just great in every way as we had another $1,000.00+ winner and a 1st time Champion; scores in our Best 3 out of 4 was just the way we like them with only 5 - 800’s and a bunch of scores in the 780's, “Just Great!” Scoring was tight all day as the first squad saw Randy Kaea-Cook, Clement Virtudes and Dennis Matthews post good scores of 843, 808, and 802 respectively.  There were no changes in the 2:30 pm squad and it looked like Randy had a comfortable lead heading into the final game of the 3rd squad but Guy Pai'oneeding to bowl a score of 300 + handicap in the last game did just that.  Finishing off a big scratch game of 300 and a score of 851 to edge out Randy by 8 pins, Guy became  Pali Lanes "New Champion".   Nice going Guy! Congratulations!  Guy used a Hammer bowling ball drilled by Shane Gasper and tour sponsor "Gasper Bowling Supply".  Tammy Poteat, one of our newest member, put together 7 No Taps in the Middle for $1,000.00.  That makes 3 members within a year that has beat the 9 Tap Jackpot for "Big Bucks"!  Tammy's bowling ball literally cracked between the thumb and bridge of the finger holes.  Now she gets to buy herself a brand new ball, awryte!

With this past weekend’s 9 Tap Tour Jackpot being hit for another $1,000.00, our  9 Tap Jackpot has gone down to $5,644.00 and the Progressive Pot to $1,168.00.  Our next stop will be at Schofield Bowling Center on February 22, 2014with no change in squad times, 12:00 pm2:30 pm; and 5:00 pm.

Dress Code

All members must look presentable when bowling.  Cut-offs or jeans with holes or sweat pants are NOT allowed.  All shirts must have collars or mock collars.  NO T-shirts, NO headwear is allowed except for medical or religious reason.  Advertising (other than Tour Sponsors) on clothing is not allowed.  Small logos such as USBC or small shirt maker’s logo are acceptable.  First and last names must be on the back of your 9-Tap Tour shirt and must be readable.  Our logo must be embroidered or permanently affixed to your shirt on the sleeve, back or pocket height on chest.  If your apparel is not acceptable, you will be asked to either change or not bowl.
