Two-Timer? 

Our Pali Champion is Sonya Baker, winning her second Tour Title with sheer determination.  After checking in late for the second squad, Sonya got lined up quickly and posted two of her best three scores, 275 and 264.  She moved a pair of lanes and just as quick, shot her lowest and throw away score of 175, but picked up her tempo, shot 260, a best 3 of 4 score of 892 and a 1st Place check of $1,435.00.  In second place was our first squad leader and two-time ChampionDaniel Toyooka-Lim, who fired a great set at 886 and just missed in becoming our third 3 time Champion.  He picked up a good night’s payday of $652.00.  Third place finish went to Dennis Ikaika, who joined the tour in June, took home $326.00.  Dennis had everybody around his lanes excited after converting the front 6 no taps but in the 7th frame, a natural strike prevented him from taking home $5,377.00 from the 9 Tap Jackpot.  Our members around him went, Whew!   So close, but he did receive $500 to go with his 3rd place finish of $326.00 and a grand total of $826.00.  Wow! 

After taking up the sport in only her fourth year, Sonya has really improved her game to the next level and come to think of it, her first title was also in the “Best 3 out of 4” format.  Hmmmm!  She used a Storm IQ Tour Edition for her win, drilled by Roy Yamanuha at Ft. Shafter Lanes.  She also wants to thank Stacey Shigekane and Daniel T. L. for their support and just cheering her on.  Congratulations Sonya on a job well done!

Progressive Pot and 9 Tap Jackpot
