Wrap Up

New Champion @ Pali!

Saturday’s tournament at Pali produced “a lot of good scoring”.  In fact, it took a 950 to make the cash list.  Yes, Art and Kawika tried to put a pattern that is not too difficult but yet not so easy.  Actually the pattern layout is the same at every venue but I guess there may be a difference in the type of lanes, Wood vs. Synthetic.  The low to cash score was not where we want it but 950 isn’t too high.  The averages and handicaps of bowlers cashing were spread out from a low of -1 to a high of 49.  Yes, we had a great turnout of 70 entries and 14 places.  Our newest Champion is Thomas Pedro, who has been with the tour for a year and half.  The score to beat before he started the last squad was 1031, posted by Bob Kailewa.  Thomas started slow posting a 2 game score of 467 but after changing lanes, went bananas, scored 581 and a winning total of 1052.  Bob Kailewa placed 2nd and Mike Lum’s score of 1018 was good for 3rd place.   Thomas used a Roto Grip bowling ball drilled by Danny Maglangit of Strike’em Pro Shop.  Congratulations Thomas on your first title, “awwwrite”.  He says mahalo plenty to all the 9 Tap Tour members for the support, as well as his girlfriend.  Asked what he was going to do with his winnings of $1,053.00?  Thomas says, “Give it to my girlfriend”.

9 Tap Jackpot & Progre$$ive Pot

Bob Kailewa was the only member to roll 4 no taps, good for $150.  The 9 Tap Jackpot survived another weekend and increases to $7,288.00 for the November 10 tourney at Schofield Bowling Center.  Our Pali Champion put only $10 into the Progre$$ive Pot, which means that the Progre$$ive Pot increases to $1,696.00.

Schofield . . .

Our 9 Tap tournament will move back to Schofield Bowling Center, November 10, 2012, with more excitement and close scoring.  Schofield surprised the tour back in July with 92 entries, so we are looking forward to going back.  There might be a chance to exceed that number because of the ease of getting on base.

New Member Discount!

For the remainder of the year and 2013, the Tour is offering Membership fee of $25 for all new Members. This is a great opportunity for any of your Ohana and friends to take advantage of.  See in you all in 2 weeks, “Malama kou Kino, Aloha ka kou”.
