900 Global BOY 

The Year 2011 is coming to an end with 2 tournaments left in December, the 10th and 17th.  Our Tour’s recent stop was at Schofield Bowling Center, where we had great success in the turnout. Membership grew another 11 bowlers and it will continue to grow as we head into the New Year, 2012.  The 900 Global “Bowler of the Year” is coming to an end as well and the competition is mounting.  Darrell Salondaka is currently the leader but there are several members that are in contention, so at this point it seems like anybody could win it all.  1Lana Mink was the only bowler to string 4 No Taps all day and received $75 for her effort. 

Glen Lim wins his First Title 

The tour’s newest champion is Glen Lim.  It seemed like Glen has been on a mission lately, cashing in at consecutive Hickam tournaments, the 3rd and 10th place positions; just missed the cash list at Pali; then caught fire and stayed hot through the four games at Schofield and collected his first Championship Shirt.  Starting off the first squad, new member Sidney Remigio, led the tournament with a great score of 1077, only to see it slip away from him to Glen.  Old member Solomon Chung Jr. also had a shot, shooting a 1060 that could have been 1110 score at the least but had to settle for 3rd place.  Glen has no special plans for his winnings except that his wife did say, “great, I can do some shopping now”. 

The Tour travels back to Pali Lanes and promises to be another fun tournament, with specials and mysteries.  The Progressive and 9 Tap pots are at their highest and should make the next champion some “BIG BUCKS”.
