Tournament Wrap Up
No, it is not the “Empire Strikes Back” or R2D2 becoming a member of our tour, but rather “1 Tournament, 2 Champions”. Yes, the past weekend crowned “Co-Stars or Co-Champions”, in the likes of Amber Gomes and Darrell Salondaka. Amber was such a trooper, she didn’t want to win the title by herself, the true “Aloha Spirit”, . . . ahuh . . . right! . . . yea, okay. Of course, Amber could have won it all if she had converted a 2-5 spare but she chopped the 2 pin and ended in a Tie for first place. She bowled really well and thanks her significant other, Joshua Cadelinia for his continued support. Amber used a Hammer Burn drilled by Wes Flores of Exxxtreme 300 Pro shop. Darrell wins his second title and would like to thank his wife Roxanne for all the support. Darrell is still recovering from surgery and it is great to have him back. He used a Global 900 Break-out for his second win and had it drilled by Keone of Striking Dynamics. Asked what he was going to do with his winnings, Darrell said, “Yeah, give’um to my wife, every last cent”. Our “Honolulu’s Finest (HPD)” Ben Ballesteros was hanging in there, tough as nails but . . . . got nailed. That’s okay Ben, get’um next tournament. E kala mai, everyone for the late write up of the last tourney but my laptop got “K O’ed” and had it repaired this morning. To all our new members, welcome to the 9 Tap Tour Hawaii Region and we hope that you had a great experience. If you cashed, congratulations, if not we hope to see you back. For our old timers, welcome back after three weeks and hope to see you at our next tournament date. For our members that are leaving our fair islands, Mark Barry, Neil Tugaoen and families, we wish you great health and good bowling. Aloha nui Loa!! |
