Pali Lanes- March. 26th, 2011
Total Paid Out: $3,340.00
Chris Glover set the pace and Lonnie Neves finished it at Pali Lanes. Lonnie displayed some fine shotmaking, picking up a 6-7 split at the end of game one of the second squad and never looked back. In the first squad, Chris Glover, a 165 league average bowler, started things off by posting great bowling scores with a total of 1044. At Pali Lanes, 1044 would have been a winning score any other day but this day, on this squad, it belonged to Lonnie. He stepped up and bowled with purpose, posting his personal best and winning score of 1090 for his second title. The turning point for Lonnie was converting the 6-7 split at the end of game one of the second squad. As Lonnie quotes, “this gave me the momentum and I followed it with a no-tap 300”. Lonnie used a Storm Tropical Heat bowling ball, drilled by Danny Maglangit of Strike’em Pro Shop. He thanks his Ohana for supporting him throughout the tournament and says, “I will be using my winnings of $1,191 for the Ohana trip to the mainland”. Great scoring, great bowling, congratulations, Lonnie! Lonnie also joins the “Comma Club” and the second “Title” gang. Chris Glover won $543 for his second place finish. In third place was a new tour member, Edwin Tsuchidana, firing a score of 1014 and $168 payday. The 9 Tap Tour would like to thank Chris Glover for being a part of our Touring Ohana as he makes his way back to the mainland and the “Great State of Texas”. Good Luck to you and congratulations on your new job. Our April 30th, tournament date will mark a Year of the 9 Tap Tour Hawaii Region. We are scheduling a day of “Cake and SurPrizes” to celebrate our anniversary. Stay tuned for what the surprises are for the day. |
