Ryan Abregano joins the elite company of the “$1000” club yesterday after winning the Schofield event. That makes it 6, $1000 winners, in a row and 10 overall since the tour made its debut in May of 2010, awesome numbers and payouts. Again, turnouts for the 9 Tap Tour tournaments have been just great. Hawaii region now has 196 members and growing.

More of our average league bowlers are winning titles, Ryan Abregano is the latest and holds a 162 league average, in 2nd place Joshua Cadelinia a 179 and in 3rd place Stacey Shigekane a 174 average bowler. Winners that cashed in Saturdays tournament were also bowlers with mid range averages.

Ryan entered the 2:30 squad at the last minute and started off in a huge way shooting 281 and then shot consistently the rest of the way, 188, 165 and 186 for a score of 820 plus handicap a 1056 total, enough for his first title. Ryan sends his thanks to his dad, Ronald, the Neves Ohana, for all the support shown throughout the tournament and to Kawika and Art for motivating him to bowl. Ryan used a 3.5 C System Brunswick ball, drilled by John Pirtle of JP’s Reaction Pro Shop for his win. Asked what special plans he has for his winnings, his reply was “pay for the transfer and title of his new Classic Truck, a 1979 Datsun King Cab, awwwrite!!”
