Schofield Bowl - Jan. 29th, 2011
Total Paid Out: $3,878.00
As predicted, the 9 Tap Tour Hawaii has added 16 new members this month and a total of 182 memberships. In 2010, the tour had paid out $36,758. In this first month of the year, we have paid out $10,598, crowning our 2nd two-time winner, Lance Inagaki, and two new winners in Larry Toolie and Sonya Baker. The 9 Tap Tour is on track to surpass last season’s totals in half the time. Our Schofield Champion is Sonya Baker, winning her first Tour Title with sheer determination and perseverance. After posting an okay score in the second squad, Sonya reentered the last squad, got lined up and posted the night’s best score of 785 and a check for $1302. In second place was our Grand Opening Champion Glenn Egdamin, who fired a good set at 781 and just missed in becoming our third 2 time Champion. He picked up a good night’s payday of $590. Third place finish went to James Quilinderino, who joined the tour in December and took home $295. Kelsi Imamura threw the front 5 no taps but came up a little short on her 6th frame only to hit a no tap in the 7th frame. Wow! So close, but she did receive a $100 for putting together 5 no taps. After taking up the sport in only a year, Sonya has really improved her game to the next level. She used the Brunswick C-System 2.5, drilled by Jim Pirtle of JP’s pro shop, for her win. She also wants to thank her biggest supporter and boyfriend, James Cantere. Congratulations on a job well done Sonya! |
