Tournament Wrap Up
HBS and 900 Global Tourney a Success Our final tourney at Hickam Bowling Center this past weekend was a “Beeg Succe$$”. This past weekend’s tournament sponsored by “Hawaii Bowling Supply (HBS) and 900 Global” was laced with fun and happy faces. We raffled off 2 High and 1 Mid Performance balls to our members and non- members. Brandon Oshiro of HBS was at the tourney, joined the Tour and bowled in the tournament. Brandon is HBS’s man in charge for Products and Supplies. Welcome to the 9 Tap Tour Hi Region, Brandon Oshiro. Here is a thought, “maybe Brandon can help our tour members order and purchase bowling products, equipment and supplies”. This was a great opportunity for our members to know Brandon and actually meet him. HBS will be able to offer discounts to our members. Visit HBS online, www.hawaiibowlingsupply.com and start filling your carts. Also bowling with us this past weekend was Virgil Dela Cruz, husband of the owner of Exxxtreme 300 Pro Shop, located on California Ave in Wahiawa. In fact, Virgil has been a member of 9 Tap Tour Hawaii from the very beginning and has bowled in numerous tournaments. Sorry Virgil for the late “Who’s Who on 9 Tap Tour”. His wife Rose is the owner and Wes Flores their Pro Shop Manager. If you are in the area, spin by Exxxtreme 300, “wala au” (translated Hawaiian: “talk story”) with Wes and if you tell him you are a member of the 9 Tap Tour HI Region, maybe there is a discount for purchasing from them, right “Roe”. You can also contact Exxxtreme 300 on face book. Pali Center is next in Line Our next tournament date is November 12th, 2011, when the tour ventures over to Pali Bowling Center. The format will be the “Best 3 out of 4” and we expect to see a lot of bowlers, for this happens to be one of the more favorable formats, bowl 4 games and throw out the lowest game, real simple. So, bring the Ohana or a friend, the discounts for new bowlers are; pay $25 membership for next year 2012 and the last two months are on the 9 Tap Tour free. Great Deal, for the friends and Ohana. Our Progre$$ive Pot is at $1,190.00 and 9 Tap Jackpot at $4,522.00, which should provide the Tour with another $1,000+ plus winner. Be there cause you’ll never know, it could be your turn to be a Champion. Hickam Tournament 10-29-11 Winners Hickam Tournament Champion This past weekends’ Champion is Brandon Hee. Brandon had to be persuaded to bowl by Chris Takahashi. A great finish at the end of the last frame, the last game, the last squad to beat Brandon Oshiro, of HBS, by ONE pin. The day was exciting as there was one pin separating the first and second positions after the second squad, Lynnale Tuquero (1012) and Bernadette Smith (1011). But the Brandon’s got hot, ran away from the competition and started their own. Brandon Hee used a Lane Masters Green Hornet drilled by Ray Allen of Schofield Bowl. Brandon would like to thank Scooba Chris for helping instead of hexing, Keven Hirabara for coaching and Wally Yamamoto for giving him the support. Brandon intends to use his winnings to visit his sister in Seattle and participate in the 9 Tap Tour PS Region. In second place was Brandon Oshiro 1095 and third place Glenn Egdamin 1014. Maria Adams had 4 No Taps and won $50 for her efforts. |
