If you didn't have "Two Tickets to Paradise" you missed the boat!!!  The largest 3-squad Tournament in Tour History (22 years) raised the RECORD to 293 Entries and a 3-Way Tie for the last spot created an extra spot on the Cash List, pushing it to the largest ever with SIXTY PLACES paid, along with STAGGERING Total Payouts of $19,626.00 for the day.  We can't share our THANKS enough to all that helped make Saturday work.  Wiley & his staff allowed us to accommodate lots of extra bowlers, resulting in another record of 105 bowlers in squad #2.  In order to make room for the HUGE numbers we went with no breakdown lanes in squads 2 & 3.  So, the biggest 'Hats Off' to Richie the Mechanic for keeping it all together for us.  Many weren't aware that the staff was short-handed with 3 of our regulars under the weather.  Tina Tran, Magic Bristol & Jason Victor each filled in on short notice and did a GREAT JOB!  Thanks Again to ALL!!! 

The 9-Tap Jackpot again survived with just a little bruising.  At last count, we had been made aware of SIX bowlers who managed to string 6 of 7 Taps, both at the beginning & middle of their games.  But TWO bowlers completed their strings of 7-Middle Taps, EACH collecting the $750.00 Consolation.  It was Jon Schneider & Cliff Taimanglo leading the way Saturday, both completing the feat in frames 5 thru 11.  Jon tossed a real strike on #12, while Cliff added an 8th straight Tap in the 12th frame and for good measure, they also finished 1st & 2nd in the Tournament!!

1st Place - Cliff Taimanglo

Talk about getting in a groove... our 1st Time Champion Cliff Taimanglo, who has bowled on the Tour on & off for 13 months, but never showed any signs of putting together a big score like he did this week.  Wearing his Dexter SST 8 shoes and throwing his Storm Lightning Black Out Bowling Ball, Cliff scored an amazing 850 series!  He got so hot, that he even added the $750.00 from his 7-Middle Taps to the monster $3,000.00 1st Place check for a very profitable day.  Cliff plans on getting new gear with his winnings.  He wants to thank his coach/Brother-in Law Francis San Louis for cheering him on.  Cliff said he sure was glad that his previous plans fell through, so he was able to bowl the 9-Tap Tournament instead.  Maybe it was the way the planets were aligned.

2nd Place – Jon Schneider was on FIRE!  Tossing 300, 245, and 233 scratch to total an amazing 840, just TEN pins short of taking his 14th Title, for a 2nd Place check of $975.00.  Since Floor Directors are only allowed to put $10 in the Progressive Pot, the unpaid portion helped to increase the Pot for our upcomming visit to Secoma Lanes to an enormous $4,389.00.  The $750.00 Jon also earned from his 7-Middle Taps doesn't count toward his Career Earnings, which have now climbed to $47,030.00 Saying he was excited is putting it mildly... just watch the video below.  

3rd Place - Austin Forrest​ was right on target too!  Austin joined the Tour a couple of years ago, but this week he had a Career Day.  His Highest Finish, Highest Series, Highest Game and obviously his biggest Payday!!  Austin took home a sweet payday of $662.00 for his super 825 series.
