This Sunday, 9 Tap Tour was at Kent Bowl, only two bowlers managed to shoot higher than 785 and the rest of the Cash List scores were also on the light side. We suspect the NEW Air Conditioning System had an effect on the lane conditions, but the GOOD NEWS, it was definitely cooler than other Summer tourneys at Kent Bowl. The 9-Tap Jackpot was threatened a few times by Magic Bristol & Jon Schneider, with Jon also getting both the Front 6 of 7 and shot at #7 for the 7-Middle Taps (see pics). Ultimately, the Jackpot got off easy with two bowlers James Black & Marshall Carter, getting the Front-4 for $150.00 each.
Magic & Jon's Jackpot Near Misses
This seems to be the Summer of firsts. Now, for the 5th week in-a-row, we
had another 1st-Time Champion and also the 9th one in the last 11 Tournaments. Tim Dzierzanowski sure gave Magic Bristol a run for his money. Bowling on the same pair, they went back and forth for the lead. In then end, it was Tim who came up victorious, shooting 830 to Magic's 818. Tim certainly improved on his previous best 9th Place finish, taking home a sweet 1st Place prize of $2,631.00. Tim says this will come in handy on his cruise in February. Wearing his Dexter SST's, he managed to tie his highest individual game, while also shattering his highest series since he joined the 9-Tap family in March 2024.
Magic Bristol, was 'human hi-lighter' Sunday, he actually bowled all three squads for the first time in his long career. Willie Manning convinced him to bowl the last squad and it obviously paid off, taking him to the final squad to get close to claiming his 4th title. He had a chance to hit the 9-Tap Jackpot too but he also fell just short. Taking home $1,162.00 for his efforts should soothe those wounds a bit..
Rounding out the top three was Marshall Carter with a nice 785 worth $607.00 to go with the $150.00 he earned from the Jackpot. Marshall is sure someone to watch out for. He finished 4th in June and is working his way up to the top spot!!
