Nearly 200 Entries (194) shattered the previous record for an Angel of the Winds Tourney.  Spreading the squads over two days was certainly successful at shrinking the size of the squads to more manageable numbers.  Every squad started and finished on time, no one turned away and the Saturday bowlers that wanted to re-enter on Sunday were all accommodated.  The two extra Side-Pots and Storm Ball giveaway certainly added greatly to the smoothest AOW event to date, thanks to Jason and his team.  The Mystery Doubles had an unheard-of 95% participation, which produced a pot with $1,130.00 in it.  We also offered the Storm Ball to the high individual score entered in the Mystery Doubles, just in case the Top Scorer didn't draw a high score from their random partner.  Eric Arkoncel performed that feat and indeed he just missed the cut for the Top 5 who Cashed (Cash List below).  The Mom's Day (High Game w/hdcp) side-pot was won by Irene Balane $210.00, Tina Tran $105.00 & Joyce Roberts $50.00.  AND, to add to all the excitement we again had a 'GOLDEN SHOT' for the THIRD time in the last FOUR AOW Tournaments.  Walt Dalrymple had the opportunity to take down the 9-Tap Jackpot slip away with a rare split on shot #7.  He still took home a nice $500.00 for the Front-6 Taps.

1st Place - Eric Arkoncel, wearing his Dexter THE 9 BOA BLACK/ PURPLE Shoes and throwing his Storm IQ TOUR 78-U Ball, won his first Tour Title with a spectacular 857 series shot in Saturday's 2nd squad, earning him a sweet payday of $2,562.00. Over the next four squads, there were several bowlers who were well positioned to catch Eric, just needing big final games, but his series stood up to his pursuers for the Win.  Eric first joined the Tour in 2016, as part of what has become a large contingent of Canadian bowlers who regularly make the trek down for our Tournaments. Eric wants to thank those Canadian friends, Rene, Cesar, JR, Freddie, Edmond, and Sol for cheering him on.  He said for some reason he always seems to do well at Angel of the Winds. He plans on using his winnings for bills and a grand vacation in January.

2nd Place – Joseph Frank III joined the Tour in 2021 and he frequently finds himself on the cash list.  He earned his 1st title in 2022 and his 2nd title in 2023.  His stellar score of 834 gave him a respectable 2nd place finish for $1,135.00 bringing his career earnings to $15,647.00. 

3rd Place - Walt Dalrymple, who just came off a 1st place finish at the last tournament, scored a very nice 814 for 3rd place and received $594.00 for his efforts.  Add the $500.00 he won for the Front 6-Taps and $170.00 he won for Mystery Doubles and he earned

a pretty decent total of $1,264.00 for the day.
