numbers!! The very first week that the 9-Tap Jackpot Bonuses were increased by 50%, Tara Strand took advantage by stringing the Middle-7 Taps, starting from the 2nd frame, earning $750.00 for the feat (see video). Other bowlers took shots at the Jackpot as well, especially Walt Dalrymple stringing 7 of 8 and Bill Jones who had the lead with the Front-5 until Tara topped his effort. The Finals were a GREAT competition, along with being a bit of a management challenge, with a record number of Finalists (56). The Head-to-Head 'match of the day' had to be Heather Schaaf vs Mary Bridgman in the Final 4, narrowly won by Heather 217 to 216.

first joined the Tour in April 2023. The 2-handed bowler said that he's worked hard over the last year to improve his game, while bowling on 4 leagues over the winter and 3 summer leagues currently. His results this weekend definitely confirm that he's succeeded and his hard work is paying off. Watching Evan reminded us of Huyen Thai who was also a beginner when he first joined the Tour in 2015 and Huyen improved so much that year, he almost won the Bowler of the Year competition (2nd) in his first year on the Tour. Now Huyen has $44,882.00 in earnings, so we hope Evan experiences a similar career on the Tour. The Kent Bowl & West Seattle bowler performed a rare feat, sweeping the Top Qualifier awards, earning both the STORM Ball & T.Q. Jacket, while also taking the Championship Title. A hefty check for $2,556.00 capped off his stellar weekend, with which he plans on paying bills with part of the winnings and stashing the rest. His 'weapons of choice' were his STORM Phaze II and an IQ Tour, both drilled by Robert Kelly at the Secoma Pro Shop. This was the 15th straight week that our Champion has cashed-in for over $2,000.00!! CONGRATS Evan on Win #1!!!
