This weekend the 9-Tap Tour was at one of our most popular houses, Secoma Lanes.  A BIG THANKS to Mike at Secoma for giving us ALL 32 lanes Sunday, using them all in the 2nd squad when 94 entries put us within 2 spots of maxing out the whole house.  The 224 entries made this the 2nd biggest 3-Squad Tourney All-Time.  With a tie in the 45th spot, we actually paid out 47 places today with a low cut line of 677. In all, we paid out $12,854 for the tournament. 

The 9-Tap Jackpot stood up fairly well again this week.  After several bowlers hit the Front-3 Taps in the 1st squad, Tina Tran hit the Front-4 Taps during the 2nd squad.  Then her lane mate, Montana Xansaya also accomplished the Front-4 Taps.  Tina and Montana each received $50.00 consolation prize for the highest string of the day.  The 9-Tap Jackpot will be at $3,913.00 for next week's tournament. 

We got to crown another 1st time Champion, Matthew Hert, shooting a great score of 778 to accomplish the feat.  Matthew was wearing his Dexter C9 shoes, while rolling his Storm Virtual Energy Blackout ball, drilled by Robert Kelly of Secoma Lanes.  Matthew would like to thank his wife, and his bowling partner, Dennis Latham, for all of their support during the day. Matthew's victory had a couple of coincidences, the first one being his score sheet was the very last one to be entered, which hardly ever happens.  The other coincidence is that on March 24th, 2024, his check is $2,400.00.  I think 24 has just became Matthew's lucky number.  Congratulations Matthew! 

Taking 2nd place this week, who almost did what his brother, Thang, did last week, was Huyen Thai, shooting 762.  Huyen had the target on his back all day, and almost came away with his 10th Career Title.  Huyen took home $1,080.00 for his great series. 

Our 3rd place winner this week, Joseph Frank came just one mark away from being on top with his score of 767.  Joseph was going after his 3rd Career Title, but still took home a nice $540.00 check for his efforts.
