This week, the 9-Tap Tour celebrated its 22nd birthday where the 1st tournament was held, Bowlero-Paradise Lanes.  161 bowlers competed this week with a Goldilocks cut line of 915 and four scores over 1,000 for a cash list of 32 contestants above the cut line. We had 3 of the top-4 bowlers originally starting with the Tour in 2002, while two 2003 members, Bobby McKenzie & Chandra Martinez also made the cash list. 

Part of the celebrations was rewarding bowlers with a $10 bill for hitting 9-Taps in the first two frames.  That started fast and furious with 8 bowlers in the 1st game hitting the Front-2 taps.  A total of 42 different bowlers hit the Front-2 throughout the day with, Joe Frank Jr, Raymond Sedeno, and Andy Snow doing it twice.  We had 7 bowlers hit the Front-3 Taps before Jeanierose Bradford hit the Front-4 taps.  Jeanierose earned the $100.00 consolation prize for the day.  The 9-Tap Jackpot will be at $6,720.00 at next week's tournament. 

A perfect way of celebrating our birthday was to have one of the Tour's original 2002 member, Earl Kleist win on our 22nd birthday shooting 1,028.  Earl is #2 on the Career Earnings list, $79,446.00, with his $2,236.00 payday Saturday.  Earl is also the #1 Career Earner from the 9-Tap Jackpot with an estimated $20,000.00, added in would push his Earnings to around $100,000.00.  The Tour Hall of Famer has spread his wins around the Puget Sound, Paradise becomes the 11th different Center, Earl has won in, out of his 13 Titles.  Earl earned his last Championship 3 1/2 years ago, in a unique format during Covid, when bowlers had maintain distance, so we spread the entries over a week and called it our "Pre-Bowl" format, which generated an impressive 168 entries and a Title for Earl.  Earl wore his Dexter SST-9 shoes, rolling his Storm Physix ball, drilled by Robert Kelly at Secoma Lanes.  Congratulations Earl! 

Right behind Earl was Dave Pickering with a 1,015 score to take 2nd place.  Dave started back on the Tour last year with our group, but started with 9-Tap Hawaii group back in 2012.  This is Dave's top finish on either one of the Tours to earn himself $777.00 for his great shooting for the day. 

Taking 3rd place this week is also an original 2002 member, Jeanierose Bradford scoring 1,009.  Jeanierose had a chance to take 1st, but untimely open frames in the 8th and 9th frames moved her down the ladder.  Jeanierose earned $404.00 for her great effort plus the 9-Tap Jackpot money for a great day of bowling.
