This weekend the 9-Tap Tour made a stop at Bowlero-Paradise Lanes where we had a SUPER turnout of 185 entries.  Even with expanding to 24 lanes we managed to MAX OUT with 72 bowlers in the last squad (6 on every pair). 

Lower than normal scores produced several surprise with bowlers not expecting to be on the 37 member Cash list.  The ladies had a great day taking 2 out of the Top 4 places.  In the end, we had a reasonable Cut Line of 686 and no one over 800.  One other note, we paid out $11,121.00 making it the 7th tournament that has exceeded over $10,000.00 this year. 

The 9-Tap Jackpot stood up fairly well this week.  Justin Miller had a chance to tie the leader, but a late falling 4 pin gave him a natural strike and stopped his run at 4.  Douglas Hartgrave hit the Front 5 9-Taps to earn the $250.00 consolation prize this week.  Next week's 9-Tap Jackpot will be at $3,146.00.  

This week's champion is no stranger being at the top of the Cash List, Hall of Famer, Thang Duc Thai, won his 12th Championship of his career, scoring 799.  Thang was stepping on the lanes with his Dexter The 9 shoes, while rolling his Storm Fate ball drilled by Pat Johns.  Thang said that he just felt really lucky today and would to thank his brother and fellow bowler Huyen for his support.  Thang takes home a $2,197.00 check, which moved him up to #3 in Career Earnings with an impressive $59,483.00.  Congratulations Thang! 

Another veteran made the top of the cash list, Tim Fierro, who shot a 770 to take 2nd place.  Tim was looking for his 4th career championship with today's tournament.  Tim received $989.00 for his performance. 

Our 3rd place winner, Kathy Mathews, coming off of an injury that occurred back in December, shot an outstanding 765.  Kathy earned $493.00 for her great shooting today.
