This week 9 Tap Tour traveled to Kenmore Lanes to hold the bowler's favorite format "Best 3 out of 4" tournament on Saturday.  We set another RECORD turnout up north, with 164 entries this week which saw 32 bowlers making the cash list.  The lane conditions were back to what we hope for, with a cut line of 715 and six scores over 800. 

The 9-Tap Jackpot held strong again this week.  We had several bowlers hit the Front-3 taps early on.  L.C Cofield upped the ante by hitting the Front-4 taps before leaving the 6-10 on his 5th ball.  Jeremy Kacher came in late and tied L.C. getting the Front-4 taps also.  L.C. and Jeremy both received the $100.00 consolation prize this week for their effort.  The 9-Tap Jackpot will be at $6,524.00 at the next tournament. 

When Willie Manning Jr arrived on Saturday, he made a comment to Rob, "Well I'm here to donate again".  Rob responded, "You need to change that attitude and go Win", someone actually listened to Rob, and Willie took his 6th career title with a 844 score.  Willie had been on the Cash List plenty of times over the last couple of years, but had been in a drought hitting the Top-5 finishes.  Willie was wearing his Dexter SST-8 shoes while rolling his Black Widow drilled by Robert Kelly of Secoma Lanes.  Willie dedicated this championship to his brother, Cedric Sampson, who was his best friend that passed away suddenly back in August 2023.  Willie's success to winning was staying calm & steady, but was really tired from work earlier in the day.  The Hall of Famer collected $2,302.00 for his great bowling, and said he would be putting that money away for future plans.  Congratulations Willie! 

Taking 2nd place this week, that Willie had to chase down at the end was Chandra Martinez with a great score 820.  Chandra opened up the tournament on fire with a score of 309 in the 2nd game.  Chandra took home $1,031.00 for her great shooting. 

Taking 3rd place back-to-back weeks was Cody Angeney shooting 815.  Cody just joined the Tour earlier this month and has taken to it well, winning $525.00 this week for his effort. 

BREAKING NEWS - If you didn't see it on Fox TV this morning, Yakima's Marshall Kent won the $100,000.00 PBA Tournament of Champions.  Marshall's father used to own Nob Hill Lanes in Yakima where 9-Tap Tour have held satellite tournaments throughout the years.  His sister, Cheryl, also has bowled on the 9-Tap Tour throughout the years.  Congratulations Marshall!
