when Johnnie Seng shot his 805 in the 2nd squad. Both were chasing their first Tour Title. Then there's Huyen Thai who got things heated up in the 1st game of the 1st squad. He started the day by stringing the first SIX Taps (although his 4th was kinda dramatic), then the low end of the house got very quiet as he stepped up for the 'Golden Shot' that was worth $5,266.00. In 2022 Huyen also had a shot at Tap #7, this one was just like his last attempt, both times, sadly, he got a real strike. He still picked-up a nice $500.00 Consolation for his effort. The onslaught on the Jackpot later continued when both Troy Breeding & Earl Kleist started games with 5 Taps, but both fell short on #6.
Sunday that were rooting for his score to hang on this time. In the end, his 805 & Cody's 804 were the only two 800's shot on Sunday. He asked us to thank those friends that were pulling for him... especially girlfriend Tina and his daughter who are always there cheering him on... along with fellow bowlers Adam, Montana, Chandra, Cam, Gilbert & Charles. An interesting new twist on the Champs bowling ball, Johnny used a STORM Night Road, that used to be his daughter's. The ball was (re)drilled by Robert Kelly at Secoma Lanes and Johnny's shoes were, of course, Dexter SST8's. The BIG Win also came with a BIG payday... his super $2,609.00 check was just short of the high of the year and he plans to use it for our Las Vegas Tourney at the end of the month. Johnny becomes the SEVENTH 1st-Time Champ this year. The Pharmacy Assistant also enjoys Body Building... obviously a winning combination this week!
