After our holiday break, we start the 2023 season of the 9 Tap Tour with a great finish, at the Best 3 out of 4 format.  With 141 entries starting the 2023 season at Hi Joy Lanes in Port Orchard, we would like to thank Jimmy and his staff for a near flawless lane conditions and service to our members.

The 9-Tap Jackpot withstood the middle 7's from several competitors this week including Rick Howerton's 7 out of 8.  When the dust settled we had 4 bowlers get the front 3 9-Taps, Mary Bridgman, Samson Ibale, Mark Hitchcock, and Ashley Kochel.  The Jackpot will rise to $9,443 for next week's tournament.

What has not been said of our Champion over the years. A Hall of Fame member, 2015 & 2019 Bowler of the Year and Tour's All-Time Leading Money Winner, Samson Ibale is now a TWENTY-NINE time Champion.  This week he broke out his old Black Hammer, drilled by Ed Dolfey years ago at Skyway Park.  This victory came with a start of 278 and 298.  In his final game, Samson threw a split in the 8th, but struck out in the 9th and 10th to claim his victory by 1 pin, with a score of 838. Samson's performance earned him $1,870 for the tournament not including his scratch pot and 9-Tap earnings.

Taking 2nd place this week, looking for his first title on the Tour, Michael Hallbach, with a score of 837.  After a slow start, Michael got hotter and hotter as the day went on.  Michael's great day of bowling earned him a nice $880 payout. 

Joseph Kraszewski established the score to beat in the 2nd squad, looking for his 3rd title on the Tour.  Joseph's score of 823 was good enough to hold the 3rd place slot and earn him $447.
