Saturday, the 9-Tap Tour traveled up north on Interstate 5 to Arlington's Angel of the Winds Casino for our popular 3 out of 4 tournament.  127 entries tried their hardest to make the Top-25 pay list, and at the end we were very happy with the cut line at 732 and six scores reaching the 800 plateau. 

The 9-Tap Jackpot was getting shot at all day with bowlers making runs at the money. Paul Mann started the day with the Front-4 taps.  Then in the 2nd squad, much to his disbelief, Steve Ryan finished his game with the Middle-7 Taps.  Steve said, he didn't know why the camera was out, but we caught it on the film.  In the 3rd squad, Jessica Trinidad-Hill nearly knocked off Steve by getting the 6 out of 7, but Steve survived and received the $500 consolation prize.  The 9-Tap Jackpot will be at $7,353 for next week's tournament. 

As has been happening the last few weeks, with last week being the exception, we had another 1st time champion.  Jonathan Fahlander shot an 822, winning by just 4 pins (every pin counts).  Jonathan started the Tour last year, and he said, "He loves bowling here and felt really good today."  Jonathan wore his Dexter 9 shoes, while rolling his Motive Supra ball that he just got drilled by Derek Handy at Bowlero - Lynnwood.  Jonathan said that he would be using some of his $2,736 winnings on a steak at the casino.  He would like to thank his friend, Cheryl Laughlin for her support, and loves the 9-Tap Tour.  Congratulations, Jonathan. 

Taking 2nd place this week was the aforementioned, Steve Ryan, scoring 818.  Steve is a long time bowler on the Tour and won his first championship, just last year at Angels of the Wind.  On top of the $500 for the Taps, he won an additional $1,194 for his 2nd place finish. 

The 3rd place finisher this week was Greg Burdsall with an impressive 814 score.  Greg led the competition after the 1st squad, and tried to up his score later on the day but was not successful.  Greg went home with a nice $612 check for his efforts.
