We are glad to see we are finally getting some loosening of the mask restrictions.  Many bowlers are still choosing to wear the mask which is great to see.  Just a reminder, each bowling center has the option to require the wearing of masks, and we will advise if they require 100% masking.  With Covid finally going away, we are seeing many New Bowlers joining the 9 Tap Tour, and many past Members have been returning.  We would like to welcome the 8 new Members and the half dozen returning bowlers we saw Saturday.  The scoring this week fell perfectly in our target ranges.  Ideally 3 to 5 bowlers should be in the 800 range, we had 4 this weekend.  The Cash List had a 732 'Cut-Line' which was right on target as well.  Bowlers making the cash list had a wide variety of handicaps, which we really like seeing, ranging from a -8 pins to +56 pins.  For the 2nd straight week, Jesse McReynolds had a Perfect Game (real strikes) all the way to the 10th frame, but alas, it was not to be again this week... maybe next week!  3 or 4 Members had 6 of the needed 7-Middle Taps.  Tong made it 7 of 8 Taps... all very close, but it takes all 7 in the middle to collect anything.  Four players hit the front 4 taps, Rueben Pedro, Earl Kleist and Sylar Yazzie, all taking $40.00 each. High scratch series went to Kai Pedro ($140.00), 2nd to Darrel Ray ($70.00) and Skip Shear ($32.00) The high game scratch was split between Kai Pedro, Skip Shear, Rick Howerton and Skip Shear. Each earned $62.00 for their effort.

 

Our Daffodil Champion this week is Jesse Sherman.  What a way to break out of a slump, after only Cashing once since Feb. (7th in May). This Tour Reg shoots BIG to return to the Winner's Circle for the 2nd time, with a narrow 4 pin margin of victory. His first place finished returned him $1820.00.  At this time we don't have the typical "bio" information, with Jessie being from Elma, Wa a 90 mile trip and most likely left after the tournament to travel home.
