Bowlero South Seattle
July 17th, 2021

Total Paid Out: $6,748.00

Wrap Up

Our last visit to Bowlero S. Seattle lead to lower than ideal scoring, so we decided to make a small adjustment to the oil pattern.  But oops, we didn't 'tweak' it enough.  Ideally there should be 3 to 5 players in the 1000 series range, but we didn't have one bowler break 1K Saturday.  We will be thinking real hard on our next visit and most likely make a big change to the pattern for that one.  With all that said, on to the 9 Tap Jackpot. The Taps seemed hard to come by this week, we had 3 bowlers with the Front 3 only, Willie Downing, Skip Shear and Brett Schaaf each collecting $30.00.  That allowed the 9-Tap Jackpot to grow above $6,000.00, automatically triggering that all Consolation Ties will now be Paid in FULL.

Our Bowlero-Acme Champion this week is Bob Anderson who just joined the Tour last May.  This is his first title, but did previously make a run at one at Hiline Lanes, where he finished second.  With a re-entry, he was able to improve by nearly 100 pins and take the Win by just 9 pins.  After his struggles last week at Lynnwood, he bounced back impressively for a big Win this week.   Bob was over heard boasting in front of his buddies that he, "Planned to Win Today", which they passed of as typical 'Bull', but he DID IT!!  Using his Motiv Rip Cord, drilled by Pat Johns at Hiline Lanes, he fired off the high score of the day 989, earning him a sweet $1,742.00.  Asked how he did it, "My straighter shot was working well for me".

Our second place finisher this week is Bob Rouse.  A long time member (Member #35) and SEVEN time Champion, Bob finished his entry with his biggest game in months (a 263 Scr), leading to his nice 980 series.  Bob was voted into the Tour Hall of Fame several years ago and now his $797.00 check for Saturday, boosts his career Prize Money earnings to $41,770.00. All I (Harold) have to say is, Bob what are you doing and where are my pennants. :)

Third place went to two time Champion Brett Schaff.  Brett might have been struggling the last few months, but pulled it together this weekend.  Brett also benefited from his best game since before the shutdown, throwing a timely 255 scratch.  His BIG game helped to produce a real nice 976 series and cashed out with a $396.00 check.
