Wrap Up

We're off & running in 2020 as Pat Johns and is crew at HiLine Lanes hosted our annual Kickoff 'Multi-Cash' Doubles Tourney!  We wound up with 183 partnerships, 37 duos made the Cash List, 21 bowlers were 'Multi-Cashers' with Huyen Thai leading the way cashing SIX times. Skip Shear & James Black each cashed five times, Walt Dalrymple had four, Earl Kleist, Herbie Wilson & Jeff Scott each cashed three times and there were 14 bowlers who made the list twice!

We're happy to announce that we added several new members to the tour family this week and one of them, Richard Galaway all the way from Dallas, Oregon found himself in the Top 10 in 8th Place with partner, Jan MacDonald. Richard & Jan were both in search of partners in the first squad, so we linked them up and the successful team emerged! As it turns out, we'd estimate that about 20% of the teams were put together this way and many times it turns out to be a succeess!

Sara SummersHuyen Thai & Joe Williams all hit the 'front 4' taps for $150.00 each and it was Joe who had had the biggest two game set of the day as he had a massive 572!  Joe's partners struggled, but two of his three teams were able to finish in 6th & 16th, respectively.

One of the teams that were put together at the check in desk was the duo of Dan Grass & Steve Ryan, who shot for a combined 1023 to finish in 3rd Place.  James Black teamed up with Ed LeBaron and they finished in 2nd Place with a 1042 set which was good for $952.00.  Ed found himself in the Top 6 twice this week as he was in search of his first tour title.

You might recall that back in November, Jesse McReynolds broke through for his first title at Secoma Lanes while his brother, Jason McReynolds has been knocking at the door for his first win for quite awhile.  This week the two teamed up in the first squad, posted 1058 and held on for dear life for the rest of the day! The two brothers wound up sharing $1,904.00 and while Jesse wasn't around at the end to ask, Jason told us that he would use his share to help pay for expenses from his recent December 19th wedding. These two have had success as doubles partners before as it was just one year ago at our Kickoff Doubles tourney at Secoma when Jesse & Jason finished in 2nd Place, just  14 pins behind 1st Place. Jesse used his Track 'Logix' while Jason used his Motiv 'Venom Recoil' ball which both had drilled by Tom Stahl at Pat Johns' Pro Shop at HiLine. Both also wore their Dexter shoes on the way to victory and Jason said "My family is always there to cheer me on, thanks to my new wife and kids along with Jesse andhis girlfriend." On behalf of Jesse, Jason said "I think we were calm, collected and consistently hit our shots."  Congratulations on the win, Gentlemen!
