Total Paid Out: $6,955.00

Wrap Up

Big THANKS to Bowlero-Lynnwood and the staff as the Tour made our first visit there in 11 years on Saturday.  We thank them for their quality service and many of our bowlers were impressed with the newly remodeled facility!  We'll be back soon as we signed on for two more visits in the near future!

It was a home game of sorts for Steve Ryan who made the short trip from Marysville with his wife and two young boys.  Steve took home $375.00 for hitting the 'Front Five' 9 taps as well as 5th Place overall.  Bob Rouse nearly hit the 'Middle Seven' as his 7th shot was VERY close with a late falling five-pin ruining his bids for $750.00!  We did get this on video, but had some technical issues getting it uploaded for this newsletter.

Because we hadn't been to Lynnwood in so long,  we had to experiment with the oil pattern and we feel we did a pretty decent job as scoring was pretty good overall. It's been awhile since we had a winner not break 1000, but at 892, the 'Cut-Line' was pretty close to where we'd like to see it.

The trip to Lynnwood is about an hour for most  of our regular Tour bowlers and turnout wasn't too bad, all things considered as there were 105 entries with 21 bowlers making the Cash List.  It was nice to see Ray & Pearl Sedeno on the list.  It isn't uncommon to see them on the list, but it has been while with them them BOTH there together!  Good Job!  Also nice to see was representation from the ladies as we had SIX make this week's Cash List, including Pearl, Carla Rivera, Erin Malinski, Heather Schaaf, Golden Powell & Donna Columbo

Why wouldn't Peter Davis show up? He's on some kind of run as he's now cashed in SEVEN straight tournaments!  Since his first win on May 11th at Narrows, Peter has gone 13th, 9th, 6th, 25th, 16th, 26th and 9th Saturday!  Way to go, Peter!  James Strand shot 965 for 4th Place this week as he came up just a mark or two short of earning title #5!

Big 'Shout Out' to newcomer and Bowlero-Lynnwood bowler, Phil Taylor!  Phil is a superb example of why we are proud of the Tour as he brought his 158 league average and nearly pounded out the win!  With nothing in the Progressive Pot, Taylor's 3rd Place finish earned him $240.00 and he told us that he had a great time and enjoyed bowling with our bowlers.  Hope to see you again soon, Phil!  Before the last squad, we spottedAaron & Marita Long, we knew she was expecting and now she's only about a month away from delivering a baby boy, which will be their first child.  With Marita on the sideline for the time being, Aaron was lacking full confidence, but DID predict to us a 2nd Place finish...Well, he was right, improving with each his games, he finished just THREE lousy pins shy of his 1st Tour win.  In fact, Aaron now has FOUR 2nd Place finishes which may have something to do with his prediction???  Whatever the case, he earned a nice $846.00 and blasted his way past the $5k mark for career earnings.  Great bowling, Aaron and congrats to you & Marita!

Thang Thai shot the best of the day for 994 and his sixth Tour win this week, which brings him closer to his brother, Huyen who has eight.  Thang earned $1,865.00 for the Top Spot and another $260.00 from the scratch pot which included a 300 game that wasn't even shot in his winning entry.  The win also vaulted him over the $35k mark for career earnings.  Mr. Thai wanted to thank his family and added a special thanks toCarla Rivera & Ed Berg for rooting him on!  Thang wore the Dexter Shoes earned from last year's Bowler of the Year race and used several of his Storm balls to get the job done this week.  A big congratulations to you Thang!
