Our annual Dad's Day Multi-Cash Doubles event took place Saturday at Kent Bowl where 16 bowlers took advantage by making the cash list more than once. Rene Malicdon from Surrey, British Columbia led the way by making the list SEVEN times, followed by Samson Ibale (six),James Black (five), Dan Grass (four), Tim Fierro, Brian Peters, Earl Kleist, Donnie Roberts & Magic Bristol (three) and six more all with two! 

Our Dad's Day pot was healthy with $625.00 total paid out for the top Dad's high game with handicap. Roberts had one HUGE game, a 290 scratch (322 w/hdcp) to take top honors and $205.00. 2nd was  Kleist (299) for $160.00, 3rd went to Malicdon (280) for $120.00, 4th went to Fierro (273) for $80.00 while Jon Schneider's 270 was good for 5th and $60.00. Great bowling, gentlemen! 

Unusually, 9-taps were hard to come by this week as we had a 5-way tie between Zac Clute, Rene Malicdon, Kris Tong, Karol Knight & Skip Shear with just three taps, each earning $75.00. 

With a total of 161 doubles teams and five squads, competition was fierce as the 'Cut-Line' lingered between 920 & 930 all day long.  Brian Peters teamed up with Tim Fierro & John Moore, Jr., where Peters shot 600 even to bolster those two teams to the 2nd & 3rd positions overall for the day! Brian shared $936.00 with Fierro and$448.00 with Moore, Jr.   

After shooting two pretty bad games (for him) in the 4th Squad, James Blackteamed up with

his good friend, Samson Ibale and the rest was history as the two combined for 1076 to take the title!  For Ibale this is title number TWENTY SIX! Black finally earned his 5th title and the retro black shirt with the gold stars. We always have the Champs fill out a bio sheet after their win and apparently James & Samson are tired of filling them out because they didn't give us much to talk about this time. We will say that both were wearingDexter Shoes and they split $1,870.00 and one or both of them are headed to Las Vegas to bowl USBC Nationals soon. They did mention that Rene Malicdon and his wife were cheering them on and that they were "Just Lucky today".
