Wrap Up

First off we want to wish everyone a Very Happy & Safe Thanksgiving holiday this week!  We are thankful for our Tour Family, the AMAZING year that we've had and all of the Saturday's (and sometimes Sunday's) we've spent together!

Saturday at HiLine Lanes we had all of the makings for another big turnout with the big Jackpot & Progressive pots there for the taking!  Although the turnout wasn't exactly huge, it was still a good one with 125 total entries as we paid out $8,736.00 with 25 bowlers making the 952 Cut-Line.  We also finished another exciting 'Bowler of the Year' race and we'll anounce the Top 10 at our Year End Championship at Narrows Plaza Bowl on December 14th.  Invitations for that will go out within the next week or so, so WATCH YOUR EMAIL!

We had several bowlers celebrating birthdays this week, including Ed Berg (11/21), Carla Rivera (11/23) & Ashley Kochel (11/26).  Happy Birthday to you three and congrats to Ed who finished in the Top 10 this week.

For the second straight week, Leon Bemis led after the first squad after shooting 1047, his best set in quite some time as he ultimately finished in 2nd Place for $774.00 as with $10 in the Pro pot, he gladly accepts everone's "Thank You" for assisting to make next week's Pro pot another nice one at $2,420.00!  Brian Selck was right on Leon's heels as he finished 3rd for $542.00.  Brian was chasing his 2nd title as this was his best finish in over two years...

This week's winner, Mike Miller was strong & steady in his 2nd squad winning entry as he fired 1060 to edge out Leon by just 13 pins!  Usually, Mike has his daughter, Heather Schaaf in tow, but she wasn't able to make it this week, so he settled for the son-in-law, Brett Schaaf as Heather told Brett "You should to go with Dad."  Mike wore his Dexter Shoes and threw his DV8 'Turmoil' ball drilled up by Curtis at All-Star Lanes in Silverdale.  Mike picked a good week to win his first title as his winner's share was $2,368.00 and when we asked him if he had any special plans for the spending the money, he simply stated "Not really."  An elated Heather did tell us on the phone that the win was "really needed."  In his spare time, Mike enjoys archery, playing golf, and hiking in the mountains.  Congratulations, Mike...Awesome bowling!

After each tourney, we provide the winner with a list of questions to assist us in producing this newsletter.  On that list we ask what kind of ball they used and who drilled it...This information almost always gets put into the newsletter, but last week when Jesse McReynolds won at Secoma Lanes, we inadvertently left the ball driller out, so we wanted to share that Jesse's ball was drilled by Tom Stahl from Pat Johns' Pro Shop at HiLine Lanes

We mentioned a couple of weeks back that Tour member, Yakima's Josh Gonsalez was headed to the Special Olympics State Finals and we just got word that he pulled off a big victory, earning the Gold medal!  Congratulations, Josh!

Finally, a quick note to remind everyone that next week, we are at Bowlero in Lakewood on SUNDAY!  Normal Squad times.  Bowlers will be asked to vote in this year's Hall of Fame election.  Information about the five bowlers on that Hall of Fame ballot will be shared in our Wednesday Newsletter.  Happy Thanksgiving!
