Quick and unscientific research tells us that we've NEVER had strictly Family in the Top three spots in our 19 year history. As we kicked off 2019 with our annual & traditional Multi-Cash Doubles Tournament that all changed as Partners, Brothers & Spouses rounded out the Top Three!

As we returned to popular Secoma Lanes, turnout was solid, but we probably would've crushed our turnout record from last year had the Seahawks playoff game had not been scheduled smack in the middle of the day! We did press on assuming that phoning the NFL to see if they'd change the game time would likely not do any good...Scores were on target as 161 Doubles Teams had Lynn & Margie feverishly cutting 64 checks as the day ended with 18 bowlers taking advantage of the 'Multi-Cash' system with Huyen Thai seeing the Cash List the most at SIX times, Bill Jones (5), Andy Snow, Thang Thai, Tong Nguyen & Tim Fierro (4) , Brian Peters & Shaun Firestone (3) and 18 others with two cashes. We wound up paying out $9,380.00 total.

The 9-Tap Jackpot could EASILY have been smashed by Karol Knight as she hit six of the the front seven and the only reason she didn't go home with over $5,000.00 was because of two very stubborn pins as she left the 2-7 split in the fifth frame with both pins moving around on the pin deck refusing to drop! Karol did manage to join Skip Shear as both collected $100.00 in consolation.

In 3rd Place was the 'Married' Couple, Donnie & Joyce Roberts as they paired up to shoot 1001 shaking off the 2018 'Cut-Line Demons' as it seemed last year, (individually) one or the other was often just below the Cut Line. The Roberts' collected and shared $450.00 and BOTH cashed a second time with other partners to pad their wallets!

The 2nd Place 'Brother' tandem of Jesse & Jason McReynolds came up just one mark shy of taking home what would have been the first title for either...Jesse was excited, telling us that it was his best finish EVER! The two combined to shoot 1032, sharing $930.00 with Jesse cashing with Shane Thompson as well!

The 'Partnership' of Pam Sims & Magic Bristol proved to be VERY formidable as they teamed up early in the day and held on until the end with their 1046 series! This was the 4th Title for Magic and 3rd for Pam as both Tour 'LIFE' members shared the $1,862.00 1st Place prize! Pam used her DV8 'Thug' while Magic used his Hammer 'Black & Gold' ball and they tell us that HiLine's Pat Johns & Kent's Norm Giannusa did the drilling, respectively. When asked if they had anyone cheering them on, both pointed to one another, adding Bill Jones & Donna Columbo to their support group. Pam said that she wasn't feeling the best on Saturday morning and really didn't feel like bowling, but was talked into it by Magic and the 'common theme' between the two when they were asked for comments was "Even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes!" We have our own idea, but the jury is still out as to who was the squirrel and who was the nut! As for spending their winnings, Pam wants a remote starter for her car and Magic said it's going in the bank! Congratulations to you BOTH!
