Total Paid Out: $8,562.00

Wrap Up

Every year we need to get our trophy order placed around this time so that all of the hardware is here in time for the 'Year-End Tournament'. This year being no different, we closed out the year-long 'Bowler of the Year' race on Saturday at Secoma Lanes.  The final results will remain a mystery until December 15th while the Top 10 is still highly in question.

We're hoping that everyone has a very Happy Thanksgivingthis Thursday and we will be back in action next Saturday atNarrows Plaza Bowl for our first Team Event.  If you haven't already got a team together, not to worry as we still have  spots available so get your team together and over to Narrows as this looks to be a fun event!

The folks at Secoma, as always, were fantastic hosts as the Tour produced 128 entries and paid out $8,562.00 total with 26 bowlers making the cut.  935 was right on target for the 'Cut-Line' with nine bowlers managing to break 1000.Kannha Tong led the way as he posted 1088 late in the day, edging out John Moore, Jr's 1039 with Kenny Tameno just ten pins back with 1029.  More on the Top 3 further down...

Two bowlers made impressive runs at the 9-Tap Jackpot asMartin McElroy & Dan Watts hit the Front 5 taps, ultimately sharing $250.00 in consolation.  Sadly for both, they were SO CLOSE to hitting the jackpot for more than $4,000.00...CHECK OUT THESE SCOREBOARDS!

Cal Fisher had a chance at the 'Middle 7' which would've earned him $1,000.00, but he threw a perfect ball for his 7th shot and you HAVE TO watch his reaction in the video just below!

Brothers first, but fierce competitors on Saturday as they always are, Thang & Huyen Thai led after the first squad as they shot matching 1004's, finishing tied for 8th Place as they entered the day one & two in the 'Bowler of the Year'standings!  Matt Buchholz showed up at the last minute for the final squad and without any practice fired a 1008 for 7th Place.  Tim Fierro's 1010 led after two squads as the recent Champ continues his fine form.  We hadn't seen Mike Metcalf since last January but Mike showed up Saturday and took 5th Place with his impressive 1012 set!  Also on fire as of late is Charles McDonald who posted 1025 as he had a very good chance of getting Title #2.  Great Bowling, Y'all!

Kenny Tameno earned his 6th Tour Title a few weeks ago and continues to bowl well!  As we mentioned earlier, he shot 1029 this week, earning $485.00 raising his career earnings to nearly $24k!  John Moore Jr. got a lot of bowling in on Saturday as he had bowled eight games at the Tacoma Masters earlier in the day, he entered twice more with us for eight more games totaling at least 16 games and that's not counting any practice time.  John's 2nd Place finish is his best so far on Tour as he earned $500.00 and with $0 in the Progressive Pot and with the pot NOT IN PLAY at next week's team event, we'll go to Bowlero Lanes with a healthy $2,367.00 Pro. Pot!

Kannha Tong joined the Tour last Spring and when hecashes, he REALLY CASHES!  This week's win is his first and is his fourth time on the Cash List which includes a 5th, another 5th, a 2nd and now 1st!  Kannha really has his game in shape after firing his 1088 he said his goal was to "Stay relaxed, take it one frame at a time." He used his Storm 'Pitch Black' ball while wearing his Dexter 'The 9' shoes and added that he had to thank his family and friends along with his Coach, Ron Hoppe.  He didn't stop there saying he'll spend his big $2,085.00 check on Christmas shopping and maybe all of his family will enjoy his rewards as he mentioned his family that was on hand, Sam Em, Kris Tong, Kare Tong, Tom, Ethan & Evan.  Great bowling Kannha and congratulations!
