Secoma Lanes
Aug. 11th, 2018

Total Paid Out: $14,554.00

Wrap Up

Saturday at Secoma Lanes turned out to be the largest payout of 2018 (so far) as we paid out $14,554.00.  This is also the highest payout day in 90 Tournaments dating back to June 4th, 2016 when we paid out $14,932.00 at Daffodil Bowl

It had also been awhile since we had the Jackpot hit...AfterBrandon Weaver had a shot last week when he buried the pocket on the 7th shot for a real strike, both Andy Snow & James Strand had shots of their own this week.  Click on their photo's below to see how it played out.  After Andy's attempt, James was there to be the first to congratulate him and a couple hours later, James had his shot and Andy was right there as well!

Andy becomes just the third bowler to hit the Jackpot TWICE as he will collect his $6,265.00 next Saturday which just so happens to be the 3rd largest Jackpot payout we've ever had! This will drop the Jackpot total to $2,098.00 as we head to Kent Bowl for another'Best 3 of 4' Format.

Congrats to Brandon Weaver collecting from his 'Front SIX' Last Week! ($750)

We had an unfortunate incident early in the 3rd Squad when Brian Peters took a fall on the approach which wound up requiring 9-1-1 assistance. Thankfully, one of our bowlers, Tara Strand who is a healthcare professional, was right there to assist Brian along with Rob & Margie until the EMT's arrived. As the afternoon progressed, many people asked us how Brian was doing and we're happy to report that he was back at Secoma as we wrapped up the day, a little banged up, but is doing much better!

As if hitting the Jackpot wasn't enough, Mr. Snow continued hisHUGE day, firing off a 1051 series to win his 4th Career Title.  This with the Jackpot win along with his Scratch Pot earnings came out to be $8,419.00 in total earnings Saturday. Kare Tong mounted a late rally only to come up five pins short of Andy for 2nd Place and$866.00. For Kare, he was just 8 pins shy of his personal best.  Rounding out the Top 3 was Earl Kleist who shot steady all day, posting a 1009 series as he went for his 12th Career Title.  Earl gets $473.00 for 3rd Place along with a 3rd in both scratch game & series for another $80

After Andy found out that he had won, he was quick to point out thatafter seeing him fall earlier, "I told Brian that I was going to win it all for him".  Andy also wanted to let Strand know that "I was more nervous for his 7th shot than I was for my own".  Andy wore his aging Dexter Shoesand was throwing his Storm 'Pitch Black'ball drilled by Dean Richards fromDaffodil Bowl. He also credited Strand, Bill Jones & Tong Nguyen for cheering him on.  Congrats to Andy for an incredible Day!
