2018 is off and running as we kicked off the New Year Saturday atSecoma Lanes with Multi-Cash Doubles!  In the end the we broke a couple of records including 182 total teams (36  teams on Cash List) and over $10.5k total payout!  For perspective, the $10,510.00 paid out this week was $5,647.00 MORE than last year's Kickoff Doubles Tourney.

 

Our Doubles Tourney's are Multi-Cash, meaning bowlers can hit the Cash List with as many partners as possible.  This week our Champs,Walt Dalrymple & Huyen Thaieach hit the list NINE times whileJames Black (SEVEN) & Thang Thai (SIX) had their names plastered all over the Cash List. Walt's victory is career title #4 while Huyen continues to amaze everone with his straight ball accuracy earning his 8th victory! This duo ran away and hid from the field with a Monster 1104 score which blew the doors off of the 2nd Place 1068, also shot by Dalrymple with Huyen's brother, Thang Thai while Black & Dan Grass rounded out the Top 3 with a Super 1059!

 

Walt ~ He used his Storm 'Victory Road' ball drilled at Somoff's Pro Shop at Secoma Lanes and wore his Dexter 'SST6' shoes.  As was mentioned, Walt hit the Cash List NINE times which earned him a very nice $2,131.50 which will come in handy when he heads on vacation toHawaii in May!  Walt said that he had some stitches on his back recently and they were itching which gave him a good feeling about this week. Walt wanted to thank his friends and especially Skip Shear, Tim Fierro and the Thai brothers!  Congrats Walt! 

Huyen ~ He used his Storm 'Ice' ball and wore his Dexter 'The 9' shoes for his 8th title and pocketed $1,642.00 which he's setting aside for the upcoming Las Vegas 9-Tap Tour 3-Region tourney.  Huyen wanted to thank all of his doubles partners (especially Walt) and said thanks to his family, especially his wife! Congrats Huyen!

The 9 Tap Jackpot was very much in play this week as well as Samson Ibale returned from his recent vacation to hit the front 5 taps for a nice$250.00.  The Jackpot is quickly approaching the $7,000.00 mark as we head to Pacific Lanes for our first 'Best 3 of 4' tourney of 2018.

 

We had a couple of presentations to make as well as Earl Kleistcollected his Bowler of the Year ring to cap off his incredible 2017!  We also were able to hand over Lisa Seifert's Champion's shirt from November's Vet's Day Tournament along with her plaque for 2017 Rookie of the Year!  Great job Earl & Lisa!
