![]() Last August Pearl Sedeno hit the 'Middle 7' 9-taps at Roxbury Bowl for $500, then in April it happened again when Aaron Long claimed $750...This week, there were six different bowlers (that we know of) with respective chances to make it a three straight 'Middle 7' payouts (at Roxbury) and one of them succeeded as Andy Snowpocketed $750 for completing the feat!Walt Dalrymple came close to the 'M7' twice himself on Saturday and was on the same pair with Andy along with Skip Shear who finished the day by popping a real (10-pin) strike on his 7th shot. With concerns of traffic due to the nortbound I-5 closure in South Seattle, there was some concern about bowler turnout, but everyone we talked to who came out told us that traffic was just fine. Potentially more concerning might have been the sensational Summer day with sun and 80+ degrees in the forecast. Whatever the case, we had 101 entries and paid out an impressive $7,699.00. Honorable mention for the day: How impressive is Rollie Abella? Earlier in the day, he ran in a charity 5k race, then showed up to bowl and finished tied with Glen Brown for 11th place! Way to go Rollie! This week was one of those rare Tournaments where nobody was able to break 1000 while overall scoring was right on target. In fact, with the Cut-Line at 915, just 80 pins separated 20th Place from 1st! Marita Long had a great day and was just 15 pins shy of her first Tour win! James Black bettered Marita's score by three pins for 3rd Place and $443.00 while the ever-present Earl Kleist missed out on his 12th title by just SIX pins, earning $906.00.
