A BIG thank you to all of the staff at Nob Hill Bowl for their welcoming hospitality which helped in making for another smoothly ran 9-Tap Tour event!  Additionally, hats off to all of the bowlers who made the trip to Yakima for our 'Satellite' Tournament Saturday.  As you know, it's around 2 1/2 hours for most and that drive over Snoqualmie Pass at night, in the rain can be tough! 

There were 90 total entries, bringing 18 bowlers to the Cash List with scores on the higher than normal side and the Cut-Line at 960. 

Although we did have higher expectations and hoped for more Local & Eastern Washington bowlers, of the 18 bowlers to make the Cash List, 1/3 of that list were from east of the mountains.  Trevor (TJ) Besel topped that list, nearly winning in his first ever Tour event.  TJ shot 1057 to take 2nd Place and $750.00, great work, TJ!  Joining Besel, there were EIGHT bowlers who broke 1000, including Nick Poplaski's 1005 which earned him $120.00 for 8th Place and he was able to tack on another $250.00 from the scratch pot for $370.00 total.  Ashley Kochel finished 3rd this week and was on track for another title after posting 599 after her first two games!  Although she did finish that 2nd squad with 1038 and the outright lead, she wasn't satisfied because she felt she left a bunch of pins out there in her third game.  Kochel earned $325.00 for 3rd plus another $60.00 for her 278 scratch game! 

For the SIXTH straight week we have the 'Buchholz' family name FIRMLY entrenched on the Cash List!  This week it wasFOUR times, led by Maria Fox, (part of the Buchholz family) who had a GREAT day shooting 1019 for 5th Place! 

Joyce Roberts & Bob Rouse both were able to hit the front four 9-Taps earning $50.00 each while for the third straight week, we had the 'Middle 7' hit.  This time it was BOTH Rouse and Ed Berg with impressive, but untimely 'M7' hits with it not being in play!  Rouse's 'M7' was his second time in three weeks! 

Brett Schaaf and his wife, Heather probably had the longest drive of the day, making the trip all the way from Port Orchard!  Brett made the trip well worth it as he earned his 3rd Career Title by firing a Career Best (by 67 pins) 1107, including his highest scratch game, a 278!  Since the 1st of June, Brett's bowling has probably improved more than anyone's on Tour as he's raised his average by a dozen pins over that span!  Brett wore his Dexter 'SST' shoes and threw his Storm 'Code X' ball which he earned back in March at Kent Bowlin our 1st Quarter Championship where he was Saturday's Top Qualifier.  Brett says "I'm happy to have joined the 9-Tap Tour!  The people are awesome and it makes it that much more fun!"  Schaaf also said that he was looking forward to going back to Narrows Plaza in two weeks as it was THERE where he won his first Title back in June! Brett wanted to thank Heather for cheering him on as she helped him stay calm through a nervous patch in his final game.
