Wrap Up

Outside of our Quarterly Championships, its been very rare for us to put on a Sunday tournament and we have to go back to 2008, when the Tour was in ownership transition, to find a lower turnout.  We considered Sunday as an experiment to see if you, our bowlers, might like to see more Sunday tournament action in the future and we think we received the message loud & clear with just 73 entries.

If you have thoughts on whether or not you'd like to see more  Sunday tournaments, we encourage you to reply to this email with your feedback!

Kenny Tameno would likely be one in favor of Sunday's as he posted 1087 for the day averaging just over 250 per game scratch for his 6th Tour Title!  More on Kenny further down...

SIX bowlers broke 1000 with the Cut-Line at a crazy high 958 as we put out the same exact oil pattern as we had back in June when 912 was enough to make the Cut.  Our thought is that weather conditions, specifically humidity, played a big role in the scoring, but your guess is probably as good as ours.

Bob Berryman finished in 6th Place with a nice 1002, his highest finish in just over a year while Daniel Lee's 1004 was good for 5th as he had his eyes on the prize for the 2nd straight week, again entering his final game with a very good chance at his first win.  Rumor had it that James Pippin had been bowling great in league lately and that he might be on the prowl for his fist win...James fired 1018 for 4th Place, making the Cash list for the fourth time in his last five tournaments.

With a bit of a challenge in last Wednesday's email, Samson Ibale showed up on a mission to get his first win in 15 months...Samson averaged over 254 scratch to shoot 1025,  finishing 3rd.  Andy Snow has had a heck of a year and shot 1036 for 2nd Place and $698.00.  Add in $180 from the Scratch Pot and another $100 for hitting the front four for the Jackpot consolation and Andy took home $978.00 for the day!

Back to our Champ...Kenny is an original Tour Member going back to our first year and prior to Sunday, he had five titles.  His Sixth win comes about SEVEN years after his last and Kenny had to wait out the last squad as he paced from one end of the house to the other, wearing out Kenmore's carpet:-).  He said he'll spend much of his $1,570.00 on more bowling equipment, perhaps getting new Dexter Shoes to replace his SST8's?  Kenny had a big 'Shout Out!' to Pat Johns who drilled his Hammer 'Gauntlet Fury' ball and added "I'd like to thank my parents & girlfriend (Denise) for always supporting me."  Congrats Kenny!
