With a very busy day and 129 total entries, we paid out well over $8,000.00as 26 bowlers made the Cash List in our first visit of 2018 to HiLine Lanes.  There were no solid threats to the 9-Taps Jackpot, but we did payOsmond Green his $500.00 for hitting the 'Middle 7' last week at Kenmore Lanes.  This week, Oscar Gestoso was able to hit the front 4 very late in the day to break up a SIX-way tie, earning $100.00 and bouncing the Jackpot up to $7,447.00.

It had been about NINE years since Patrick Robbins last won and this week Pat was on a mission to get WIN #2!  You see, Pat had extra motivation as he needed cash to get his car repaired after a recent accident.  While shooting 268*247*244*205 on his way to a monster 1076 series, he used that motivation and said "I stayed consistent and ON TASK! Focus, Focus, Focus!"  Pat bowled in the first squad with his wife, Judy and good friend, Bob Berryman and later said they helped keep him focused.  Judy gets $1000.00 of Pat's total $1,870.00 in winnings and the rest goes towards those car repairs according to Pat 

Robbins wore his Dexter shoes and used his 14-lb Ebonite ball drilled by HiLine's Pat Johns.  Pat wanted to thank everyone who bowled with him as well as his Granddaughter, Ashley (pictured with him below) who waited the last squad out with him & Judy while a couple of bowlers made runs on him at the very end!  Congrats Pat!

 

Mick Hodge had his best day since 2014 as he shot 1023 (927 scratch) after starting the day with his lowest game (176) only to finish it out with games of 232*290*229 on his way to 2nd Place and $848.00 with another $112from the scratch game pot for that 290!  Way to go Mick! 

Also on the podium in 3rd place was Thang Thai who was one of just five total bowlers to break 1000 with a 1018, while also knocking off his brother, which is biggest Thang's motivator.  $424.00 was Thang's pay check and he gets $150 more for highest scratch series with his huge 978! 

Kudos also to Brandon Eubanks & Will Cotton who shot 1013 & 1008, respectively for 4th & 5th Place and also Kim Myron who finished in 6th Place with a 999 and with a big last game could've taken the title.  Also, a shout out to Dan Watts for entering twice and shooting 994 both times after opening each set with THREE BIG GAMES!
