As we started the day at Hi Joy Bowl, Brett Schaaf escorted his girlfriend, Heather out on the lanes and she quickly became his fiancé as he popped the question stating "Will you marry me AFTER we're done bowling???" She quickly nodded yes and we were underway for our 'Best 3 of 4' format...

She said "Yes"

Brett's master plan was to actually get married after they bowled in the 12:00 Squad and not only did that happen, he lit up the lanes, shooting 819 which held up all day as he earned his 2nd Title just a few weeks after winning his first at Narrows Plaza Bowl back in June.  Heather didn't do too badly herself as she shot 756 for 9th Place as they collectively took home over $1,700.00.  Our 2nd Place winner, Tara Strand posted her best showing of the year by firing 789 as the trend for the day was 'Family' with her husband Jamesalso on the Cash List in 10th Place.  Tara took home $725.00 for her efforts, just edging out Willie Manning, Jr. by three pins as Manning Jr. told us he had one or two bad shots which cost him another Title.  He earned $365.00 and was just one pin better thanEd Berg who wound up 4th.  Great shooting! 

More on the Schaaf's...Heather told us "Brett and I have been husband & wife in our hearts since we decided to get married and an opportunity presented itself for me to take his name back in December, so I took his name early!"  The Tour was elated to be a part of your BIG DAY and we congratulate you as you embark on a lifetime together! 

Brett used his DV8 'Freakshow' & Hammer 'Taboo' balls to get the job done as he wore his Dexter Shoes and obviously drew his inspiration for the day from Heather as they returned back to Hi Joy after we got a hold of them to tell them that he had held on to win. 

Tong Nguyen hit the front 5 9-Taps to earn the Jackpot consolation of $250.00 as the Jackpot seesawed back above the $8k mark to $8,004.00.  Also, we wanted to welcome back 91-year oldLarry Herendeen as he rejoined the Tour after being away for seven years!
