Wrap Up

First, we want to acknowledge & thank Bowlero LanesManagement and Staff  for their hard work and especially for rushing the oil machine part order just in time for our Tournament.  This was no small feat and we at the Tour truly appreciate it!

With the oil machine fixed up & running nicely, the pattern was back, very close to where we would like with scoring maybe a tick higher than usual.  With 107 entries, 21 bowlers made the 954 Cut-Line with six breaking 1000, including a rare 2nd Place tie!

The 9-Tap Jackpot was in danger, first when Thang Duc Thai nearly popped the 'Middle 7' which would've been for $500.00 as he finished one of his games with six in a row, only to throw too good of a 7th shot. David Kim, hit the 'Front 4' taps, then struck cleanly on his 5th, then tapped the 6th & 7th, narrowly missing a HUGE $4,400.00+ pay day!  David along with Oscar Gestoso & Dan Watts shared the consolation which paid $40 each.

Tara Strand had her best scoring performance of 2018 as she shot 1010 on her way to a 6th Place finish for $180.00!

Samson Ibale also had a pretty decent day as he fired a 300 game for a 5th Place 1012 for $200.00 to go with another $260.00 from the scratch pot.  Also firing a 300 game was Dale Coleman as he shared some of the scratch pot with Samson.  Dale managed to finish four pins better than Ibale for 4th Place and $225.00.  Kudos also to Chris Andreula for shooting his first ever 300 game with us!  Also congrats to Mark Hitchcock for making the Cash List for the first time since switching to left handed! Mark is a 4-time Tour Champion with the right hand and due to a shoulder injury, had to make the change.

Jerome Moore II had his best finish on Tour as he along with Reuben Pedro shot 1030 to tie for 2nd Place this week. Jerome actually had the lead entering the final squad and was looking good to get his first title but our eventual champ had other ideas.  Moore earned $556.00 while Pedro pocketed $734.00.  Pedro earned more simply due to the fact that Moore had just $10 in the Progressive pot. This was Reuben's THIRD knock at the door for a title as he's finished 2nd THREE times in the last 15 months or so...

We've said it before and will say it again, 'When it's yourday, it's your day!'...Coming off a tough week, Dan Wattsarrived at Bowlero, in a bit of a funk, but more focused than he's been in quite some time.  Yes, Dan won Title #3 just seven weeks ago at Pacific Lanesbut Bowlero seems to be where he has his 'A' game as he won there back in February as well!

This week, Dan shot 1095 by way of 254, 246, 256 & 276 games to run away with Title #4!  Wearing his Dexter SST8 shoes, Dan used his Hammer 'Rip'd Solid' ball, firing strike after strike in that final game to earn $2,184.00.  After finishing Dan said "I was focused, driven, anxious and  excited...I'm Happy to be ALIVE!"  The retired Army First Sergeant also said "I'm thankful for everyone on the Tour! You make it a GREAT TIME every week."  Dan also wanted to thank his family along with his lane mates, Ashley Kochel, Shaun Firestone, John Moore, Jr. & Heather Schaaf!
