Our Tour stop this week was Pacific Lanes where we held one of our 'Best 3 of 4' Tourney's where scoring was abnormally low for this format. With 116 entries, 23 bowlers made an extremely competitive Cash List where just 68 pins separated the Top Spot from the 'Cut-Line' and nobody broke 800. 

A couple of bowlers made respective runs at Jackpot money asEarl Kleist again hit six of the front seven taps while Huyen Thai finished one of his games by hitting the last six, only to run out of frames!  Let's hear it for Tour Newcomer, Julius Mack as, in his very first Tour game, hit the front four taps taking the$100.00 consolation!  Big News for the Jackpot as we are back over the $5k mark for the first time in quite awhile!   

Worthy of note, Kai Pedro made a clean sweep in the Scratch Pot Series category by taking all three spots with three separate entries, earning himself $260.00 in addition to his overall 8th Place Tournament finish!  Nice shooting, Kai! 

A substantial number of bowlers were just one or two shots out of finishing with the Title this week, including Brian Peters(784), Earl Kleist & Josh Hankins (782), Huyen Thai (777), Kai Pedro (773) along with Karol Knight & Tong Nguyen (768). Jerry Smith was another as he shot 785, just 11 pins back from the Top Spot as he finished in a Career Best 3rd Place for$482.00. Jerry is an original Tour Member from 2002 who only recently returned to bowl with us.  Recent carpal-tunnel surgery had kept Jerry from bowling, but he felt good enough to give it a go this week!  In 2nd Place, shooting a Career Best 791 was Tim Apthorp!  Tim's bowling has steadily improved since he joined the Tour back in 2014 as he was just five pins shy of his first Title, bettering his previous top finish which was 5th.  Tim didn't participate in the Progressive Pot this week, but still earned a very nice $500.00 check for his work!  You know what this means...?  The Pro. Pot also jumped and will be $2,387.00 next week at Acme Bowl! 

Let's hear it for our latest Champ, Bob Rouse who, after nearly aSEVEN YEAR title drought earned his SIXTH Career Title earning $2,146.00!  Bob shot 796 this week and added an additional $150.00 to his winnings by having the Top Scratch Pot game of the day with a 298.  We mentioned a 'Secret Recipe For Success' in the headline because Bob, who was elected to our Hall of Fame last year, actually bowled his last two games (including that 298) on the pair of lanes where is HOF pennant was posted this week. Bob is also an original Tour member (#35) and has been hot in 2017 with 17 total 'Cashes', including TEN Top 10's!  The win also makes Rouse the 8th member to amass $30,000.00 in Career earnings.  Bob said that he was "nervous" as he had to wait out the final squad and several attacks on his lead and added thank you's to Barb Rosengren, John Schneider & Tong Nguyen who were all cheering him on!  Bob also gave a BIG thanks to the 9-Tap Tour family and said he'll use the money to bowl more, maybe buy some Seahawks tickets and added that he was looking forward to M's dinner invite!
