![]() Entering Saturday we had only two Tourney's to go before the 2017 Year-End Championship at HiLine Lanes on 12/16. With that, several bowlers not already qualified were asking what they had to do in order to get in...Simply put, "Win & you're in!" For those who are already qualified, email invites went out during bowling on Saturday and we ask that you RSVP ASAP so we can solidify the field for the Y.E.C. If you did not receive an email for some reason and feel that you should have, it's likely that we have a bad email address for you so please email us atrob1@9taptour.com or call (phone number at the bottom of this newsletter). Bowlero Lanes played host to our Final 'Best 3 of 4' tourney of 2017 and we had 99 total entries with 20 bowlers making a highly competitive Cash List. Making the long trek up from Oregon were Jesse Rowe along with his friend and Tour newcomer Matt Schoenheit, while from Eastern Washington we had Mitch Buchholz and another newcomer, Jerome Moore II making the trip. Jesse finished 11th, Matt found his shot midway through, finished with his first Tour 300 game and nearly pulled off the very rare feat of winning on his first try by shooting 817, finishing in 2nd Place for $618.00! Meanwhile, Mitch found his way to 14th Place bowling alongside Jerome, who also had a shot at winning in his first try starting off with two great games, only to have a bit of a hard time adjusting to the move to a different pair. Jerome's impressive day placed him in 5th! Thanks for making the trip everyone and great shooting! Kudos to both Rick & Shane Thompson for shooting well and making the Cash List in 4th & 10th Place, respectively! Their strategy of not bowling together pays off again! Good Job! Nick DeLeon joined the Tour back in 2015 and enjoyed his best finish to date by being just one of three to break 800 as he fired an 803 and took 3rd Place and $373.00! Well done! There were no significant threats to the 9-Tap Jackpot on Saturday, but Brian Selck & Rueben Pedro both managed to hit the front four taps, earning $100.00 each. Worth mention is that Bill Jones had a stretch where he had 8 of 10 taps, but couldn't manage to string them all together. The Jackpot increased to $6,412.00 as we move on to Roxbury Lanes. This week's Champ, Blake Lord-Wittig, bowled in the first Blake knew he shot pretty well and as he left, mentioned to us that he was happy with his performance, but we're not sure that he felt it would hold up...In the end, it DID hold up and Blake was able to come back to collect his winning check for $1,665.00 and we were happy that we were able to get photos of him in his work garb (notice the plaid?).
